also, when I launch by l2.exe I get system.dll error even if I have it, and when I try to launch by RPG updater it deletes system.dll when updating and when I press start NOTHING happens, just nothing

Change Settings in Antivirus , Firewall software for l2 game dir

Antivirus, Windows Defender and all possible craps are disabled. Nothing changed, still or missing dll error or incompatible version error. Seems like antibot protection is anti player protection instead.


Also, I deleted /system folder and launched updater to download the folder once again. It downloaded all files except this system.dll one, and if I apply the one from site I have the same issue as earlier. START via updater doesn't work for me so I have to rename l2.bin into l2.exe in order to launch game which is now impossible. fffuuuuu

just because you have .net framework 4 installed dont mean that you have v. 2
its completely different versions that work separately

its completely different versions that work separately

Dude >.< Frameworks are compatible with earlier versions. I can't install 2.0 while I have 4.0 because it shows that I already have it installed.

It seems this crappy system.dll is not compatible with 64 bit version of Windows 7 or I dunno what the hell is wrong with this downgrade patch.

It's compatible, i'm using Win7 x64 and it works just fine. I might cleanup and upload my system/ dir that works in Win7 later today if you want.

BTW, tried staring the game with admin rights? It shouldn't have anything to do with that error but who knows.

Ye, anyway I have full administrator rights activated in CMD so I don't even need to do the right click > admin thing. It would be nice if you could upload your /system to see if it works for me :<. Thanks in advance

It can't be fixed for my system I tried on my both PC and laptop and same issue. Both are W7 Ultimate x64. Would be cool if admin could resolve system.dll issue or put back old one.

solved quiting antivirus and making check files i have avast antivirus

Try disabling avast competelly or even killing it with task manager to see if it helps. It's possible that avast has 2 exceptions list, one for normal scan and one for guard so check it's options again.

just disable avast problem is antivirus

Ok i'll check. L2 starting when avast is disabled, but how this is possible, it was working 100% fine earlier today and then all of us get same problem, we arent in LAN, all from Finland.

I got some error ingame that crashed game and then problems started, my friends quitted normally earlier and now they couldnt launch game either.

They redone system.dll and it's getting detected as false positive by antiviruses now and that seems to be the problem. Try adding it like here (in 2 places) if it works fine w avast turned off completelly.

Ok, i uploaded a clean system/ dir that works (tested) on Win7 x64. You can download it here but i suggest you to tripple check your antivirus again since it was the problem for everyone else.

I have totally no idea what happens with l2.exe and system.dll. I see it in archive but when I unpack your system they just disappear.

edit: I finally managed to solve that crap. Problem were quarantine files that my antivirus left even when it got uninstalled, so I deleted them manually and cleaned registry with CCleaner. Thanks for your support guys.
