That "BR card" could also be used on you.
The disconnect issue has become worse these last days, and if you actually took time to read LagysFey post, you'd see that it was made @ 24-Nov.

He was being sarcastic obviously.

We are sorry for this annoying problem. Admin is trying to tweak the server software every day in hope of at least reducing the number of crashes. It's not a hardware problem, it is more then capable as you noticed since start. Problem is the l2 server which simply, can't cope with such a huge number of people online. There is a reason retail servers are limited to 6k online (i think this is their limit if i remember well).

Edit: 7k online (real) should work with no problems. After 8k it starts to get messy.
20000 online can survive under the current server configuration. Because it crashes the server problems that were at the start - fixed.

The problem is not online,  problem = network equipment or any kind of action at the datacenter.

If the problem is the datacenter, maybe you should consider changing it then ...

MrCoffee

I think today was especially horrible because its first day of AA and unsealed sets with 2 days of Oly left. Way too many people on.

Blizzen

have u (server admins) thought of how server will run during sieges?
i mean .. everybody knows thats sieges r the heaviest part for any server.
and since sieges will be on same time max ppl are online that will be even worse, making the server unplayable even on leveling spots .. imagine on siege zones ... im not saying this will actually happen .. but i would like to know if u admins have any certainties about this ?

Arcain

Since server handles barakiel zergs quite well sieges won't be any worse ;P It's just the mass disconnects that are the only problem for now but they're not really dependant of currently online players.

been there .. ye server doesnt lag in mass pvp .. but one thing is mass pvp .. another thing is mass pvp during sieges :P

i've only asked that cuz usually thats the main problem in private servers.

MichaelV

There shouldn't be any lag problems. Seems my last statement was incorrect, as shown by Lagys. From what i understood, it's not the server crashing but the connection to it that gets cut off (didn't connect to server after one of this crashes but if npcs are still there when the connection restores, then the server didn't crash). Probably the switch that was changed today in the datacenter couldn't handle the big data flow. Sad thing is, it seems the new one doesn't do a better job either. Hopefully, a solution will be found until sieges and a better one then just lowering the cap limit. Everyone should have the right to play if they wanted to.

9 labas in 3 days, actualy i cant be online whole day, so i cant try it during night.

Zeld

I know you work on it but plz can you fix it asap?
again today  try kama   boss 20% hp  > crash
doing 4s  last room > crash

right now we cant do nothing
all work is alway gone again and again

baho

Are there npc's online after the server crashes? If yes, then it clearly is some network related problem in the datacenter. If no npc's after crash, then the server clearly crashed.
All are mistaken about russians using l2r, explanation is a lot simpler:

Npcs are up in almost all that "dc"

baho

Then that means the server never crashed in almost all that DC and admin was correct. They probably have some problems in the datacenter with a network switch that fails under high load of traffic. Probably that's why they changed it yesterday but it's still the same situation, sadly...

Any crashes today? Or did they finally fixed it?
