I can understand that RPG is not to blame for this and that you guys try out as best as you can ( your not getting payed for it so ). But the Guys that are, meaning, The ppl your renting the server from, are! They fucking suck. A company who dosent have any clue on there stuff is just retarded. I would happly wait 48h if you change servercompany. Otherwise we will have the same problem over and over again.

Hosting a game server as big as RPG x15 requires special, more powerful hardware. Although the config was requested quite some time ago, it takes time for the parts to get there, be assembled and everything else. It's very possible that server was ready just a few days before this start and it wasn't properly tested. All i know from admin is this and i quote his exact words:

SSD disk for database died in 0.30 AM in datacenter
they dont sayd why
and they need minimum 3-4 hours for fix, install OS, etc

That's the absolute minimum, if it takes10h or so, you realize nobody will open a server in the morning.

So in conclusion, get ready for tomorrow : ). And again, sorry for the inconveniences created!

Admins. You sure that those hdd problem can be fixed in 24h ? Every good worker burn every day 2-3 ideal hours. So 24h = 12 working days Waiting for server open at 01.12.2010. Don't waste your precious time for fixing hdd only because those 5000 kids want that. Get a real live and give some of them to kids. They so fast grow up...

Please tell us, what normal ppl that have brain think this is? Do you really think admins of RPG would delay the server start just for the fun of it? Are you really that close minded?

We are sorry for this delay, but we have no direct intervention on what happens in the datacenter. We rent a server and they maintain it, simple as that. We could've made the delay smaller, but we have no idea on when the guys there will finish fixing the problem (it can be 1h or it can be several hours, might even happen tomorrow morning/noon) so only choice was to delay it 1 day, at same hour.

not for fun but there may be other problems etc which shouldnt be mentioned or are minor

That is the problem, since all were aware of this server gonna be demanding when it comes to Configuration. Is not something you found out few days ago...And guy who suggested to change company is totally right, now if you gonna do this or real reason lies behind this guy post.

Just like regular, fast HDDs in raid. SSDs in raid aren't much better tbh, but instead need conservation after a short ammount of time, especially when flooded that much with write/read, like in database case.

Postpone a server just why isnt in the good time is selfishness of your part...

The minimum that could do after of that nonsense is repair this error and start so fast as possible this server.

If you want start it tomorrow why you cant solve this problem till the time for start, and want start in good time for have pics/screens and lag on start, ok np...but next time be more realist and responsible with your commitments.
