I have the following annoying problem.Every 5 minutes my L2 client starts to burn my PC.While it is using 4-5% of the pc power in the next moment it jumps to 50-60% and the PC starts to drag like hell for about 10-15 sec.And after those 10 sec it falls down to 4-5% again. I tried to full format PC and reinstall everything , tried 3 different l2 clients , got the newest video card drivers and it`s still the same. So if someone experienced that problem i`ll appretiate his advice how to fix it , or if someone has any idea pls share it.

P.S. I`ve played from this PC for a long time and the problem is not Low pc. All the time the game is running perfect just those 10 -15 sec that appear in some period of time (too often like 5 minutes max)

I have a similar problem, but in my case it only happens when one of the clients either crashes or is closes, CPU and Memory usage shoots up sky high leaving my pc worthless for like 3 / 5 mins
By worthless, i mean, very slow, but it could probably be fixed with another memory stick, got only 2gbs :<

I can't be sure but i think that you are infected with a W30/Agobot-S virus. It calls a process scvhost.exe instead of svchost.exe and it eats 50% of CPU. Try to play right after you install OS, drivers, direct x, netframework and check it out some software might be a problem too. Btw do normal format, Quick format just put everything on value 0. Do you recently upgraded some hardware?

ok the problem was found , it was such a retarded problem that i can`t believe it . After 4 full formats and many windows reinstalls the problem is -> PC was over heating . Descision -> open it and clear it almost perfectly because the dust is facking the fans really hard. That was the reason for the freezes. I hope this will help to someone to skip all my head aches.
