i decided to risk it and DLed this file, it was posted by russian mod so i guess its not so risky

what is embarassing is that such info is posted for russians only

Anyway, just activate ur IP protection and there's no worry of anyone logging into ur account if ur so scared.

I have come to you on a forum not for this purpose to do dirty tricks and other, yes I Russian, but it is not meant that by me the hacker either what or image I do not love foreign citizens... PS: this only happens when i start the game from the renamed autoupdater from rpgupdater.exe to rpgupdater1.exe, if i start the game from l2.exe from system folder or from the desktop shortcut when i installed the game long ago, it starts normally but the login is still down. I also must note that the 1st time i opened the game from rpgupdater1.exe, it had a small autoupdate.

Any GM can say if it's safe or not that l2.ini ??

The guy that posted it is a mod on russian forums, and others have confirmed that it uses the same IP as the trade bot. If u haven't been hacked using the trade bot, then you can't be hacked by replacing that .ini file as well.

Sorry but, i'm not risking 5 months of game time on a potential key-logger. (I don't care if it indeed work for you who used it) Already dealt with such shit in the past, i don't want to experience something like that ever again.

Gonna wait for the admins to flip the switch/restart the server.

how you can get keylog if there is only one l2.ini file and on rpg there is ip protection

cant login again... i did that ini solution before and it did help, now i tried replacing it with normal, back and forward and cant log in..
