Well last rpg server has 13k+ this one will have abslolutely more than this, I vouch for 14k online at start.

Biggest population of ppl who want competetive server, you forgot about those thousends of randoms who wanted to play on newest chronicle like it was at x15 times. So i doubt online gonna be even close to x15 start.

Just check how many clans made recruitment threads , especially on russian forum ... this one will go 10k+ once again.

3-4 "serious" clans gives ~800 ppl and huge number of randoms 2-2.5k~~ add fake numbers of online on the website+multiboxes/shops and may it will be 7k but active people 3-3.5k max

Well ofc that's difference. I meant around 10k total characters, and players probably around 4-5 in my humble opinion, considering multiboxing buffers and shops.

Ofc, maybe I'm wrong, that's my opinion, also number can be higher/lower depending on gw2 failure/success , since hundreds if not thousands of lineage 2 players are currently playing that one.

Only T,RoA,Asterios side are more then 1000ppl and keep raising.Also add OOC,QQ and that Geno ally.There are much smaller clans with ~5-10cps, and pretty soon when date is announced you will see mass spam in recruitment topic, cuz most ppl still are on summer vacations.If Asterios can reach 10k, RPG can do it too)
