It's not that whoever gets scammed didn't deserve it, it's more like it's annoying to go through 20 shops named after something you're looking for and in the end all 20 had fake items in it.

Temporary jail or something would be nice.

This server is crowded enough as it is. If you ban the scammers, the server improves in every way. I've never been a victim of the gemstone D trick, but screw those people and their accounts. They are annoying.

Scamming is problem in community and we can react against it... It isn´t thing to treatment for admins, but for players. You can make some topic and write names of scammers, some "blacklist". Most of people scamming with their main chars...  For example clan leader will know, that this char is scammer and he doesnt invite him into clan, party etc. By that I mean we can take a stand against it... (next point - on the market you´ll see the same nick, which is in the topic and you will be wary... Yes, of course, you shouldn´t fly between stores and click & buy like an asshole...). It depents upon everyone and yes, it isn´t any radical and total resolution of this problem... But as someones say, it´s some part of the game (yes, very poor part).

Just make sure to double check what you buy. Maybe we will make a "blacklist" thread to post scamers and who ever else deserves to go in there (you, the players, will have to post them).

doesnt make a difference, scammers will just make new characters if they get blacklisted and do it again.
