DDR2 max transfer = 3200 MB/sec  // DDR3 = 6400 MB/sec
max? lol, these are lowest possible transfers, and noone use rams witch such cloaks nowadays

Access time of a RAM is 30-110 ns (nanoseconds)
110? wonder what ram is slow like that :D
actually ddr1/2/3 wont cross 30ns

well kinda true, i meant cas latency which is i/o delay counted from memory controller to memory cell. Real latency can be as big as lionna wrote, misunderstood ;s

Tazman

btw dont listen raziel about winxp this guy was formating this shit every 1week.

Queem

The thing is this all testing's in real program dont give even 2% difence. Like same memory with timings 4-4-4-4 and 12-12-12-12 in tests will be diference more then 20%, in l2 or ps3 or ae or any other program wont be even 1%.

I was kinda talking about the max transfer as ramdisk, because 18000-21000 MB/sec are impossible. Real read/copy rate is around 5900-6600 MB/sec

If RAM ever reach 2-4 ns, then we don't need L2 or L3 Cache for the CPU. lol ;D

Very good mobo bro. :)

I just use it because my old motherboard died 1 month ago and Asus still didn't replace my Maximus Gen V Z77. Still the Fatal1ty is better than your Pro3 :D

Well i dont rly need very good mobo cuz as you can see i dont use any hardcore OC so i think this one is enought for me. And i dont have any problems with pc no format since like 1 year or longer and everything working perfect.

Guys, maybe you can offer notebook, that would be fine for l2? I mean enough to handle mass pvp, i don't need any gfx effect, just smooth run.

500-600 euros I guess would be fine.

Acer AS5750G or Acer V3-571 or Asus A55VM?

Is this notebook is good for l2 playing? Which one is better?

darkflame

none, no fucking mainstream notebook for 500-600€ can handle rpg mass pvps at proper framerates. Not to mention notebooks usally have slow 5400 RPM HDDs.

Well, I guess it would be a lot better, than my current pc. AMD 6000+ x2, 4870 Radeon and 2gb of ram. Aren't they?

Because I'm noob at pc specs, so I need a lot of help. :D

dont think so ... only what you need is a big frequency on CPU and for sure at least 4+GB RAM

CrossFirepwnz

Well, Asus has Intel® Core™ i5-3210M (3M Cache, 2.50 GHz) and 6GB of Ram. It looks good for me.

in my opinion it really doesnt worth to buy some notebook in this price relation btw you dont want to buy destop? coz for this price you will have much much better:)

CrossFirepwnz

Nope, because I will need to carry it a lot. :) Notebook is the only way and I don't have any more budget.

Fatality,

that notebook isnt bad but you will suffer so much coz of 5400rpm hdd:)

Pfic

Hello, i also am looking for a new notebook, sadly but cant have a personal pc, need a laptop :( which would be fair price and good enough stats for l2 mass pvps and stuff like this and so far im thinking about this:

Asus N53SM

My option stats is:

Intel® Core™ i7 2670QM Processor
Intel® HM65 Express Chipset
DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, 4 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 16 GB SDRAM (mine is 4gb ram)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM

Any thoughts?

There you go, read the last pages then you know what you need for "lagless" Lineage 2.

Most of you write about things you dont know. SSD drives arent that good as every1 thinks they are. They improve load time, but not that much to consider buying it. If you want very fast load time (much faster then ssd) using low funds buy 12-16gb of ram, move textures or full client on ram drive and enjoy. Game is old enough that any decent parts in store are enough

kornez

actually u didnt add anything new to this topic cuz there was ram drive mentioned on first pages.
and the fact that game is old doesn't mean you can buy anything in store and it will work flawless...  "write about things you dont know"
