same problem from romania and hungary too.but i am realy mad and that its imposible to cant handle a fuking ddos attack.rpg its realy big comunity and i cant undestand how the fuking hell that can be posible.maybe admins didint go to the police but you should try that too its imposible to stay milion days with server off ppl will quit server will get be fuked up and i will be mad because 20+ st server getting fuked up.dont know how but nake this server to run online in max 1 day from 31 december 2011 server are imposible and thats realy bad because nice comunity will get fuked up

i agree other good servers make those ddos atack and not only to rpg to many good servers with many ppl some friends playing other servers with 2-3-4k ppl told me they had same problems with ddos attack maybe thats the end of private good server:) go god ppl farm all your life   or GoF  goddes of farming

from D to S, i played there 1 week, made 1 PK and farmed 5 hours to loose karma, long live Godess Of Farming

Hi guys,

Many of you most probbably do not understand what a DDOS attack is, how it is organised, what impact may it have, and how long can it last.

If you look for some information on IT security oriented web sites, you would find out that largest know DDOS attack produced ~24gbit/s flood to the host. Such huge amount of data can't be handled simply, also having in mind that you need to have very good connection to the web, as well as hardware and software to be able to handle the incoming data, and destinct what is rubbish and what is not. Furthermore you need to reply to good data in order for your service (l2 in this case) to be up and running. I'm not saying rpg club attack is of a simmilar size - this might be true or not.

Another issue is that DDOS attacks may last for days, months or even years. Again, you may find information on a web for multiple sites having simply to close because of inadequate downtime due to DDOS attack.

Generally, there is no 100% working cure for sutch attacks. Yes, there are multiple ways to fight against it, but it highly depends on capabilities and available resources of attacker and defender.

From my side I would only wish best of luck to the guys dealing with this issue and hope problems can be solved. I really enjoy playing on this server.

Nolifers can't stand 3 days without L2 before they become mad and now  it's "several" days, perfect for them to go try GoD and stay there. Server will lose many players (if it doesn't die). Not to blame RPG because of this, I know handling a good DDOS attack isn't easy, but anyway, it was the perfect moment to kill the server

at high lvl u can clean pk in a few min ,just at low lvl sux bad..

still cant log in and all my clan is on from greece and  wea re 3 ppl playing from netcafe no 1 can log in some ppl from theyr homes can play they are online now without log in problem :/
