login problem

computer desktop freezes at login screen of L2.

i can only play off my laptop loading L2 from my desktop so i guess the game is fine.

any suggestions?

what do u mean exactly by freezes?

when i load L2 on desktop game freezes and i have to restart/shut down pc.

i can only load L2 properly if i load it from my laptop off my desktop hard drive using my wireless connection.

While you use it from laptop try to minimize / turn off all details, check "lower detail", apply the crapy settings and then try running it on your pc.

long time ago i had similiar problem, just when i wanted to choose an orc in the character creation screen the game was freezing, i installed l2 again from another source and it worked...
also try reinstalling ur display drivers/direct X

tried it, still freezing.  Now it freezes after like 1 min or so....Even if i login, it freezes in game.

got it to stop freezing, now i get crit error or  pc restarts by itself

any ideas?

have you tried to run any other somewhat heavy-load 3D games?
cause it looks like power supply unit is failing/insufficient, with restarts and stuff.

and you should probably post you PC specs, including the power unit you got.

reinstall windows to solve pc rr problem

if ur pc restarts it may be cpu overheat or some display card error, ofc there r many more posibilities
try reinstalling windows ^^

i reinstalled windows, now pc restarts after L2 loads up at login screen....

yeah, nice try to fix possible hardware problem with reinstalling windows.
