American Clan considering coming to 5x, few questions:

Hey all, looking for a server to bring my Clan to and would like to ask afew things before deciding to come to rpgclub.

First of all, I logged into the 30x and played for awhile, but the delay was terrible. (bout half a second to almost a full second delay before my spells went off, clicking on targets, moving, etc)
I've had 4-5 of my guys login as well and we've all experienced the same problem. Ping is around 250

Is there any proof that the 5x will NOT be like this? I believe from a traceroute the server is hosted in moscow? I've played on international servers before and had no problem.

What other English speaking groups are coming to the 5x? Maybe not from the states but will there be a descent amount of players that speak english?

Few more questions but these are the important ones, thanks to anyone that can answer.

Well, hopefully, the server will be hosted somewhere in germany or western europe (maybe holland?). That would be good for everyone around the world . I believe rpg already has a server hosted in germany, just under a different name.

It being hosted in Moscow is not the issue. The 30x has more of a server issue itself, not location.

One hopes the 5x will not suffer similar problems. Isn't it this way for all servers? We're not psychic.

Your connection is going deeply a long way under the see so all eastern europe servers will have delay you can log to free ru global i'll get a delay two . Or use a satelite net
The biggest part of the server will be english talking players because it's an international server

Sure, 250 ping isn't always the end of the world. But the delay in skills and movement make's it pointless to compete. We'd be wiped everytime we stepped into pvp/raids.

well you have 0,5 - 1 s delay in azure gaming i had 1- 2.5 s delay  so it's not a wery big issue the only ones that won't have delay will be Russians

Indeed, x30 has machine issues itself,  i'm living in center europe and i'm having the issues aswell. Soulshots lags, movement issues, npc lags. Still i hope x5 will have better machine so we can enjoy the game more.

try 1000x server and check if you have such delay there.

Solution is simple: wait for server to open and see if u still have that delay. If u do then don't play.

1.There is no guarantee that 5x won't lag.I used to connect through proxy hosted in USA and server didn't lag till it hit 1,5k.I guess only thing that we can do is only hope to see server without lags if admins prepare good hardware, which specs is still unknown.
2.Well on 30x only around 3/10 players are Russians, so you can expect something like that to be on 5x.There you have it international community which speaks English.Mainly all ppl are from Europe, they learn English in school and use English to communicate with other foreign ppl.Ofc it depends on how "English skilled" community you'd like to see, but the fact that community will be international, mainly from Europe and Eng speaking is real thing homie

Hey chivas, glad to see some familiar faces. Yes FL has been done with L2 since then but Aion is getting boring and I'd like to see what L2 has to offer now. The 1,000x server was delay free so I'm keeping my hopes up that the 5x will hVe food hardware.

Looking forward to launch, unless the server is insanely unstable y'all will be seein lots of FL.

That's not a simple solution as I have lots of members waiting for my word on what we're playing next. Obviously theirs no REAL info that say's their specs will be better, so I guess the whole waiting situation is the only option. I'll keep looking for another server (Highly doubt I'l find one) and will be here for launch if this works out.
