There is no question about a wipe, you can safely play. Yes i know about the tragic end of x30 but believe it or not, it was an accident, admins would have nothing to gain by doing it on purpose, only to lose.
If a new server will be made, it will be minimum 1 year since x15 started. And no server would be wiped anyway. The server you are talking about is really old and true low rate, not to mention that back in the time it was really popular. This 3 factors ensures that it still has a decent amount of population. Being really old, when l2 was still a "mystery" and people wouldn't play only to "win servers" ensured it's future. Being a true low rate made people bond to it; when you have to "work" for years to grow your character, you just can't leave it as simple as that. And being popular back in the time ensured a high flow of population. Their community is more like a "family".
So you see, on RPG that has a small international history, with no true low rate servers it is expected that the top clans and the nolifers will quit once they get bored a little ("no competition" as they say). There is no "emotional" bondage with their character since they needed very little time to "end game".

Ultimately, it is not RPG's staff fault that people quit servers in 2 months and hop from one server to another. RPG's staff does what it is supposed to do: provide servers (as good as we can make) for players to enjoy. How you enjoy them is all up to you!

so there is one good way against these no-lifers - just don't feed them with new servers x15 is very stable now, just new coming ppl when they see this " new server possible" they start to think twice "should i start, or  should i wait?".
Ofc it's not nice to count others money, but i see tons of rurs in giran shops (its 3700rur's in giran shops atm, but when they go low, always few dwarfs appear with 5k+ in one shop) so i don't think that donations in x15 is low.
Anyway, i see new ppl coming and coming constantly, just HS, varkas (3rd prof quest places) is still full of new chars.
I am pretty sure, that 90% of x15 population don't want new server to come
only no-lifers want it which will stay there max 2 months.

why new server ? because lot of ppl dont wanna go back to old one (TW and enchant skill exploits, overleveled characters because of lol 1 month events that higher the rates 3 times and also D/s bug which helped a lot)

The worst part is that this comunaty has mucho cry babies .. People want new serber not because it is new and not because the old one has "no competition" , did you ever heard people asking for a new server before they said that they will upgrade the current ones? People want to start fresh in a new cronicle to try all that is new low lvl and high lvl . Like You know what will happen to 5x/15x economy acording to valakas and antharas? If they're not possible to kill in h5 those people that will join those servers after updates will have no chance of having those epics and which factor clan want to join a serber in which the old guys already has items you have no chance to get and they give them an atvantage?
if there won't be no update there would be no need for a new server but because there will be an update which will make major changes to l2 system people want so start fresh on that system ..

well d3x is not that bad... although it has some major bugs and they are slow on fixing it but on the bright side dex community is much much better than rpg... the most important thing about it is that it has NO RUSSIANS!

It takes 6 months to the average player to reach the end game but it takes 3 months for some other people. Nobody is talking about a wipe, even if a new server is opened you can stay at the old ones. Some other part of the community prefers to play this game hardcore while there's competition and then move on.

If there won't be a new server it's sad to a big part of the L2 community since RPG is the only good network left appart from ruoff but nobody is crying because of this...

Few players are not a big part and this game is ment to be played for long time even GF/g+ were on retail server for 1-2 years ppl were on "end-game" and they did not quit, ppl quitting after 2-4 month of farmin it`s just stupid to ask for a new server.

Also if rpg want to stablish some good international comunity opening a server every year is not a good solution.
