Lithuanian > Baltic, Oldest Indo Europian language, adapted roman version alfabet. Russian > Slavic language, writed in kirilica or w/e its speled. So yes, its almost same... Lithuanians can understand/communicate in minimum 1 foreighn language, i dont know ppls whos cant. And comparing Lithuanian and russian languages as similar, you have to be realy reatarded lol. Its same as say japan language and spanish are so fucking similar.

you obviously didnt get what i meant. that sentence was about understanding each other (lt, ukraine, belarus, russia). i should have written it differently before, but its late already which might be my only excuse.

Slavic is the most wide spread language base in europe afaik, Poland, Slovakia, CZ, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Russian, Mountnegro, Ukrain, Belarus, Bulgary. There are alot of simmilar words in all those languages and its not hard to understand, all Ex-Yu nations is not a problem, but others, even if i never learned the language, there are alot of simmilar words and its not impossible to understand, well some more than others hehe =)
