Is no longer about server, imo is about game. I am sure that those who play LineAge2 around 6 years -+ are for sure bored of L2. High hopes for LineAge3 that aint gonna come out, and small hope that http://www.tera-online.com/ might look interesting enough so people could quit L2. Dunno as long as you are playing private server it remains PRIVATE and owners can do the hell they wanna do with it, cose they simply can.

i honestly play l2 and hon cuz im not really interested in any other games out. im not exacly the video game guy. all i really play other than that  is pes/cod for ps3.

Well problem is that retail servers = bots and private server is not really worth so much time ppl investing if 1 day can happen that data base suffer same fate as x30 ENG did. Tho like i said private will be private, so after what happened on x30 i am starting to be afraid is it really worth so much time spend for example on x5 and 1 day some "error" happens and all time invested in it by players "goes down the toilet". Also if we would say that is just a moment when Geno or AFL will quit and server would become "not so interesting", but still is just opinion of some people.

The only thing that can kill x5 is a new server. If even 30x that was severely one sided from start till end managed to go for so much time, 5x will easily last much longer. If afl or geno quits, the members that will remain from the emo_quit side will just join the next factor on the list and boost it's power. Yes, it will PROBABLY become less balanced but it will surely not die.

I'm ready to bet right now that the new x15 will be a lot less successful then x5. It will have a good player base (most probably) but it will fall short of x5.

Well, it should be played for the moment. If u like the game then play it and don't worry about a db loss or server closing. So what if that happens? It's not like ur memory will be erased and all ur play time forgotten. You played and most probably had fun while doing it and that's ALL that matters.

Problem of l2 is that it's an old game and new ppl are not interested in playing the game as much as it was sometimes. While it's normal for ppl to quit (they get bored w/e) less ppl join the game. Community is getting smaller and smaller. There were times when we had several large servers overpopulated like x5 now but a lot of ppl left the game and few have started it. Rpg's x5 and arion's x4 are like the last bastions of l2, most of what is left of l2 community is concentrated on this 2 servers. And it will get even worse then this ...

i guess u dont know much about other private servers.... there r servers with higher online than those mentioned by u, they r just not well known....

Baho you aint playing L2 at all, you are just 24/7 on forums...Btw Dex x4 and rpg x5, are atm not only L2 populated server, but just only low rate servers with "hard core" players, who do not find them self on higher rate. I am sure if there would be a higher rate like x15 and above that you would see people on servers known to you.

It makes a big difference, you saying you got no time to play, but you got time to be on forum24/7. I would understand if you are working maybe and cannot play from work so just posting on forum, but this is just called being lazy and lying yourself how "you got no time". This sounds more like you don't wanna waste time on playing, and on other side you are supporting server with "is good place to play on" and you are the person that aint playing at all, you and me know each other a bit longer and you know very well what i am talking about Baho.
