Well not to show damage like HUGE numbers, but still numbers in some corner or something would be nice imo.

meh still not for my taste maybe with some research u can find smthing like that.
but in any case if ur goal is to make dmg visible just get some nice font and color for the dmg and make it underlined, that should do it

U can make whatever message u see in system window to appear on screen. U can choose a position for it, a color, the time to be displayed etc. It's not difficult at all.
