In the administration's attention.

I have something to complain about to our beloved administration.

There i was today, minding my own business, shouting for stuff in Rune to go farm, when all of a sudden i got this private message:


Oddly enough, i said "What the heck, i'll open my browser and check this out, maybe i get to see what you can donate for (or something along that line), and such more thoughts. Maybe they made VIP accounts with special stuff".

Now, the thing is, i've learned across the years to never ever use one's real account when dealing with such crap, so i didn't. Instead, i logged my dwarf's account on the site supposedly mimicking (or not) RPG's site (the insignia, the forum layout, the options on the left with logging into your account and so on... the whole sha-bang), from the link provided in the PM. (For certain a lot of people received this as well, so do keep that in mind)

After doing the aforementioned, out of routine i try to log my dorf's account on the actual RPG site, and surprise surprise, the account was designated as BANNED, case in which i did nothing, get this, NOTHING wrong or inappropriate. And to add more to this twist, once i try to re-type that site/link in my browser it doesn't load anymore, it re-directs me to some crap site in russian, one that has absolutely nothing to do with RPG or L2 in any way.


And so i ask, what happened and/or what's going on ? I saw the nick on the ban list also who sent the PM, right above my characters nicks that are related to the banned account. All i can make out was that those rusian symbols spell "Administration impersonation". Really... c'mon, REALLY ? How am I impersonating the staff when i never sent any PM to anyone, and instead i was the one who received that PM to begin with ?


I'd like, nay, i'll demand an answer to this. I'm not really looking to get that account un-banned too badly, because it is trivial and has only a low level spoiler and a level 5-6 kamael on it. But, i would appreciate that happening, since i didn't do anything but click some stupid site with an alter account, doing no harm whatsoever to anyone.

Well, of course dude, who pretends to be administrator, logged to your account, leaving an IP in database, so gm's banned all the account who had same IP's. imo.

The thing that bothers me also is that some people might have check out that site with their actual accounts, not like me doing so preventively with an alter to satisfy my curiosity, and they might have gotten screwed without doing anything illegal... I hate when shit like that happens. Even if people are dumb and don't realize it, they still could use some help/assistance around here.
