How to play using ubuntu (15x)

Hi everybody!
I have Ubuntu 10.04 x64
and winetricks
BUT...
... rpgupdate.exe doesn't work

i tried to start the game from l2.exe in the system folder.... but there was a pop-up telling me to update with rpgupdate.exe

so... what can i do??

I installed the 3.0 one and the uploader works but the game aint working, it shows the loading image for a second or two then nothing.
I used the no gg patch, same thing, set the l2.exe to run as a program, same thing, anything else I can do?
I also set the l2.exe to run as a win xp program in the winecfg

For La2 i install .net 2 + vc6sp6 (something like) + directx9 (install + dlls) + WinXP mode
and have normal login

I had to install also ie6 in order to install .net 2 

it seems to work, i'm updating from rpgupdater.exe....keep your fingers crossed

I hope you mean vcrun6 cuz I already have that, I didnt install the directx9 tho, as far as I read wine already has it and you cant install it :S

yes, vcrun6
directx9 complete or some dll`s from him - in winetricks
mb try run dxwebsetup for autoupdate directx

so, I installed directx9 with the console but still the same thing
maybe I should try with .net 2.0 lol

what about the rpgbot?? what should I do to make it work on ubuntu???
