Here I was thinking the big idea behind all this was that it's a lowrate without the hassle of farming for gears (give-or-take S80 and above, preferably). Not many people would be too awful upset if they all got S grade pretty much handed to them. That's pretty much the only selling point to this entire server -- you cut the bullshit, you go straight for the good stuff, but the gist I'm getting now is that it's KINDA like that, except you have to donate, and you can go way beyond just S grade.

How exactly is this PVP? Isn't the 5x a "PVP lowrate" if this is their definition?

Hahahahaha. Fucking terrible, guys. It COULD'VE been interesting, but it's 5x-like with the lolspoil rates but with even worse donations. Why would people choose the 8x over the 5x? There's a near equal amount of hassle, but less players and more donation advantage. I know I'm being redundant but the point needs to be driven, this was a very bad decision.

You should go ahead and quit with the elitist attitude. I'm in the NA timezone but even I'm not so bold to say that it's mostly only us American's (and Canadian's I guess ) who play L2 seriously enough to Olympiad. Considering the fact that it is indeed mostly European's who play this server (and L2 in general, if I'm honest), it is outrageous to sit here and say that Olympiad is mostly NA people and always will be throughout this server's lifespan.

As much as I think 8AM is ridiculous for NA people, especially because I'm bias and only get home from work at around 10AM~, we must consider the people in the other timezones equally to be fair. That said, due to the complication of this particular issue, I don't really have any solid input. I'm choiceless, the decision is going to be a difficult one.

Now let's get real here. If this was really such a petty issue as you all seem to be suddenly making it out, then nobody would've cared when it was all going on. Funny how that works though, forums hate me so bad that when I ask for GM's to at least give us all a little bit of insight, I get lynched. Best part is, if the GM's do actually do their job well, a lot of your clan mates are probably going to get banned. This goes for pretty much every clan. Addiction / Genocide isn't an exceptioin.

I'd love to know how you people propose to do this. I'd love to know how you propose to track:

* Exploits through quests. People who knew what they were doing and got recipes, adena, mats, you name it, over and over again.

* Exploits through overenchantment of skills. This ought to be fun to check, I'm pretty sure there's no way to check to see who upped their skill legitly and who upped their skill through exploit considering according to the server, the requirement of EXP/SP and 1x Giant's Codex was always met for both occasions.

* Exploits through crafting. You can bullshit us and say how crafting that S grade 2-3x over without fail (due to how many attempts you get with that lag) isn't a big deal, but you're going to have people-a-plenty bitching when Olympiad starts kicking up this month and most of the Heroes are also the exploiters. That's a pretty good way to land an early foothold in the server, totally not a big deal though!

* Exploits through Subclass Skill Certificates. I'd HOPE that deep down inside the Administration isn't so full of bumbling dumbasses that this could slip through the cracks, but then I'm not sure what the L2 code looks like and with how the Administration has been handling things around here, I wouldn't be surprised if people run into the occasional foe sporting 5-6 subclass skills that nobody but himself can really prove he actually has.

* Rapid influx of economy due to exploits. This is officially whoever cheated, wins. If you didn't exploit and didn't get that 1kkk+ adena with several S grade rec's and all the time in the world to abuse things to hell and back, you're at such an unfair disadvantage that you might as well not even bother to face such people in open PVP because with how early the server is, that kind of cash can buy practically everything.



So, how do you propose to nail it all? I'm dying to know, especially with MichaelV saying "I doubt everyone will get caught, but even if only half do, it'll be okay". There was maximim players online throughout the lag days as if nobody even cared to log out, so if you busted 1000 exploiters, 200 of which exploited seriously, it's OK to have 1000 other exploiters, 200 of which exploited seriously, running rampant on the server.

Players nearly unanimously requested and demanded for a rollback to completely fix these issues. We did this knowing our own losses would be somewhat severe. Still, the Administration said, oh what? The community wants something around here? Well then, we won't do what they ask.


Server's fucking broke, Michael. How do you propose to get your team to fix it COMPLETELY and not half-ass? After-all, wasn't that the promise of checking logs? To fix EVERYTHING?
