Personals / The Wicked Cruma
February 03, 2018, 03:38:30 PM
Once a great explorer arrived at the Cruma Tower.

He had heard of the mysterious tower and it's inhabitants from various travelers across the world of Aden. He decided to explore the creatures living in the swamps near the tower for himself. He was sure that they would prove of great scientific significance.

When he arrived at the swamp, the first creature he came across looked like a kangaroo. It resembled a humanoid, had two legs, could walk up straight, but also had traits of an insect.

Curiosity got the best of the traveler and he decided to approach the creature.

Upon doing so, the creature started attacking him, and he started fighting back.

After a hefty struggle, the traveler finally was able to get rid of the humanoid insect. But he decided not to give up - as he was a researcher at heart.

He proceeded to explore and document some of the other mysterious creatures he came across. But as luck would have it, they all proved very aggressive, and the scientist had to fight his way through.

.. but he kept going..

.. and going..

Tired of all the fighting, he came across and oddly looking, and pretty big for it's species frog.

He looked at it for a while, but decided the frog does not have any worth. So he proceeded to move on.

Out of nowhere he got surrounded by a murder of spiders.
wwwwwww

He tried to fight them off, but more just kept coming.

After a long fight, he had succeed in killing all of the spiders.

He then vouched to leave this wicked place and never to return. In his book "The Wickedness of Cruma", he described the swamp with the words ".. everything is trying to kill you!"

Once upon a time, there lived a Tiger.

He was very lonely, for every everyone feared him and no one dared to approach him.

One day, while roaming the forest, the tiger saw a wealthy merchant and his lovely daughter, trying to cross the bridge.

The tiger suddenly jumped out of the woods and onto the path.

He demanded that the merchant give his daughter in marriage to him or he would kill him.

The merchant was unwilling to agree to the tiger's wish but he was afraid of refusing him and losing his life. He thought of a plan to rid himself of the tiger.

The merchant, thought about it for a while and he suddenly remembered an old story his father used to tell him. The story was about a lion who threatened a near by kingdom, and a brave warrior tricked the lion into going into the water, once he went inside, he turned into a human.

After remembering this story and thinking he had nothing to lose, the merchant told the tiger he was ready to accept him into the family, but had one condition. He told the tiger that he has to prove to him, that he is a good swimmer. The foolish tiger consented to the merchant's suggestion and went into the river.

Once the tiger's went into the water, he immediately turned into a human! No one could believe what had happened in that moment, not even the tiger.

The merchant burst out laughing.

"See, " - said the merchant - "this is what you get for trying to threaten people into doing your bidding!"

After that the merchant and his daughter left the tiger to wallow in his grief and foolishness.

Personals / Brothers' Bond
January 28, 2018, 09:47:01 PM
Once upon a time there lived two brothers in the land of Aden.

One of the brothers - Rafail, was a "big city man", who led an exciting life, full of drinking with dwarves and dancing with elfes, he lived in the town square of Dion town.

His younger brother - Liafar, on the other hand, was his exact opposite. He lived a quite and happy life on a farm near the town.

One day Rafail decided to visit his younger brother in the countryside. They had wonderful time. Liafar took Rafail around the farm and show him various parts of his life in the countryside.

He showed him the lumberjack. Where he did most of the work, as he was a woodcutter.

He showed him the various furniture he had made, like the dinner table outside his house, where he and his family would sit down to eat their every meal together.

He showed him the cart he had build together with his son and asked Rafail to help him load it up with hay from the barn, to feed the animals.

After the hard work Rafail was exhausted and had huge back pains, at which Liafar laughed wholeheartedly.

Liafar shared with his big brothers the troubles which had befallen him. He didn't have a lot of customers for the furniture and the crops this year weren't very good, so his family had been in a rough patch.

After hearing the story Rafail decided to invite his brother to the big city to cheer him up.

Liafar took the offer and after few days he visited his brother in the town of Dion.

His brother awaited him on the south gate and welcomed him.

First they went to Rafail's house. It was a very luxurious house indeed, it had everything. They sat around the fireplace and exchanged few stories of their childhood while Liafar rested from his journey.

After that Rafail took his brother on a tour around town. He showed him the different shops that the town had to offer. Like the grocery store.

He showed him the jail and the WANTED posters hanging on the walls, for one of the most wanted criminals in this parts of the world.

He even showed him the town's armory with all of it's equipment capable to arm 1000 men.

The time had come for Liafar to go home.

After seeing all the "wonders" of the modern world, as Liafar was saying goodbye to Rafail, he said that he was happy he didn't have to worry about all of this things and appreciated how easy life was on the farm.

Liafar bid farewell to Rafail and upon leaving said to him:

"if you ever get tired of the hastened life in town, you are always welcome to come and live with me!"

Personals / The Dilemma
January 27, 2018, 08:24:38 PM
Once upon a time, there lived a woodcutter with his wife. They were very poor and the only income they had was from woodcutting.

On one Sunday morning, the woodcutter embarked on a journey of finding a big tree, cutting it down and selling it after for a big profit. He went deep into the woods and looked for hours.

Finally he arrived at the bottom of a enormous tree.

He got his axe ready, sharpened it, got into position..

.. and just as he was about to swing his axe, an elf jumped down from the tree!

"Please do not cut down this tree! This is a very old tree and it posses the memories of the old days" - said the elf

"If you cut down this tree a whole era will be erased" - explained the elf

"But if I don't cut down this tree, I can't feed my family!" - sobbed the woodcutter

The elf thought about it for a second.

"If it's money you need, I think I can help you" - he said

Suddenly he pulled out from his sleeve, what looked like a very old and wrinkled scroll.

"This is a magical scroll" - said the elf - "It can grant you one wish"

"That's exactly what I need!" - said the woodcutter
"What will you wish for?" - asked the elf

The woodcutter thought about it for a long while and finally said:
"The only thing I need would be adena!"

The elf waved around the scroll and suddenly..

.. a big pile of gold appeared before the woodcutter.

The woodcutter smiled and danced as he collected his gold and bid farewell to the elf.

Very happy with what had happened, the woodcutter ran back home to his wife.

While running back, he thought about all the things he could buy for himself and his wife with the gold.

As he arrived at the house, he saw his wife in the backyard.

He immediately ran to her and explained what had happened, while showing her the pile of gold.

The wife didn't looked very amused with what she heard and saw.

She thought how her husband could use all the gold to runaway from her and find a younger and more beautiful bride than her.

After a moment of silence, she said to her husband:

"Honey, I don't think we need gold, I think you should return it and ask the elf for a healthy body, so that you can live a long life beside me and not get sick!"

Moved by the words of his wife, the woodcutter cried and agreed to everything she said. Without hesitation and a moment to think things true, he gather the gold and went back to find the elf.

Upon arriving at the big tree, he yelled for the elf to come down.

As the elf came down, he greeted him and explained the situation.

The elf could not believe what the woodcutter was saying, but agreed to take the gold back and give him a strong and healthy body.

He pulled out the old scroll and waved it at the woodcutters face.

A dark cloud surrounded the woodcutter and he felt a burst of energy. He felt like he was a teenager again.

The woodcutter thanked the elf and went back home.

Short while after the woodcutter had left, the elf realized what had happened and figured out his wife plan.

He begun to laugh out loud - "Well, at least they will be together!"

When the woodcutter returned home, he had time to think things through.

When he realized what he had done, he begun sobbing again.

His wife approached him - "You don't need to cry my dear husband, as long as you have my love and we have each other everything will be alright"

Personals / Devil's Curse
January 26, 2018, 05:19:42 PM
A weary traveler had heard about the wonders of the Garden of Eva and decided to explore the mystical garden for himself.

The garden had been buried for centuries under water, so the main entrance was also flooded.

The traveler used the Blessings of Eva to make breathing underwater possible. An old magic he had learned while living with the elves on one of his previous adventures.

He dipped into the water and went for a swim. He found the entrance and went through it.

As he swam in the depths of the old ruins he encountered peculiar species which he would document later on.

He saw the cave going deeper and deeper within the ruins.

He swam trough the whole in the ground, which was probably created during the collapse of the garden.

As he reached the inner sanctum, he saw it wasn't flooded and happily got out of the water.

But terrible fate awaited the traveler. As soon as he set foot in the temple a dreadful curse had fallen upon him. He turned into a undead demon.

As he sobbed for the fate that had befallen him, he heard a voice within the walls.
"To cure yourself of this curse, you have the reach the Orb of Fate, in the center of the Garden of Eva."
"Once you reach the Orb, you can be cured! But go with haste, for you have limited time to reach the Orb, if you fail to meet the time limit, you will forever stay in this form!"

Hearing the words of the mysterious voice, he had no choice but to comply. And so begun his race with fate and time.

As he went deeper into the temple he had to fight his way through, for dangerous creatures roamed the depths of the garden.

More and more creatures swarmed to stop the traveler from reaching his goal in time.

As he reached the end of the temple, he found himself in the garden room.

He had to jump from a high cliff down into the garden river water.

As soon as he hit the floor he begun to search for the entrance deeper within the garden.

More creatures swarmed his way. He had to fight them as he waited for the Water Wall to go down, he had no choice.

He managed to enter the first ring of the garden, he was getting closer to the finish line.

Water Giants was his next challenge in the second ring.

Once again he had to fight his way through.

On the third Water Wall a similar faith awaited.

He waited patiently.

The inner core of the garden was within his reach, he could almost feel it through the Water Wall.

More creatures swarmed him at the fourth entrance.

But the entrance finally cleared, he was within the inner sanctum of the garden!

His happiness was premature. A dreadful undead creatures attacked him from all directions.

With his last breath he managed to repel the evil and arrived at the bottom of the stairwell.

He begun his ascend, which was not easy after all the fighting he had done so far.

He reached the first floor of the tower. Many more stairs awaited him.

Finally! He had reached the Orb of Fate!

He bowed and begged the Orb for help in lifting the spiteful curse.

The Orb of Fate glimmered for a second and threw something on the ground.
"This is the Demon's Fang" - said the mysterious voice - "Use it and you will regain your old self once more!"

As he reached for the Demon's Fang and equipped it..

.. he felt a weird sensation. Shivers went through his whole body.
He had regained his old self!

He cried out loud and laughed with happiness, he thanked the Orb of Fate for rescuing him from the fate that had befallen him.

He promised the Orb that he would seal the entrance to the Garden of Eva once and for all, so that something like this would never happen to anyone again!

Once upon a time, a terrible fate had befallen a near by Abby. A demon named Kirunak had slaughtered all the monks, dragging bodies and desecrating them in his catacombs, leaving nothing behind.

Except for one brave monk that had survived the slaughter and wanted revenge.

He tracked down the demon Kirunak to his wretched catacomb and decided to rid the world of his evil doings.

Upon entering the catacomb, the monk found huge traces of blood and bones, probably left-overs from his fellow monks.

He looked at it with disgust and vowed to avenge his comrades.

Near the old pile of bones, probably from a bygone era, he noticed a weird scroll.
He picked it up and it turned out to be a map of the old catacomb.

He now had the necessary tool to navigate through the darkness.
Upon entering the first of the rooms, he found himself among piles of undead monsters, followers of the demon.
Poor souls.

With the power of Einhasad, he engraved the holy symbols and dispatched the undead monsters, sending their soul back on the righteous path.

After further investigating the rooms, he found a little library, containing old books. As he read them, he found out that this, in fact, wasn't a catacomb, but an old elven temple, stolen and corrupted by the demon Kirunak.

As he investigated further, he found more and more traces of slaughter inside the temple.

He prayed at the altar, for the sake of the lost souls, once inhabiting the temple.

With rage in his heart and dedication in his mind, he continued to purse the demon. He found himself once more in the company of evil.

Exorcising the ghost and undead as he walked straight to the center of the temple.

He found the main corridor, leading to the main hall.

Massacre everywhere he looked.
"How twisted must his soul be?" - thought the monk

Finally, after all the grotesque he had witnessed, the demon Kirunak was in his sight.

He prayed to Einhasad for strength.

Enhanced with the holy power, he started exorcising all of the demon's minions.

"Who dares enter my realm?" - whispered a deep voice "you shall not leave this place alive!"

Having used most of his mana to fight the minions, the priest had no choice left but to face the demon head on.

He fought with the last breath he had.

For his friends. For his beliefs.

He finally delivered the lethal blow!

As the demon perished, he grab the monks shoulder and said:
"you won this battle, but you will never win the war!"

And disappeared into the abyss.

The monk was successful in fulfilling the oath he swore and could now live in peace. His heart was heavy with burden and sorrow over all the lost souls, but somewhere deep inside, he knew he had to live for their sake too.

As he prayed, he mumbled the words- "I will..."

Personals / The Kind Sailor
January 22, 2018, 10:27:06 PM
Once upon a time, there lived an old sailor. He had lived a wild life - participating in the Aden war, working as a marine for the fleet and even being a pirate for a short while.

But that time had passed and he lived his days in peace and harmony on the island harbor.
Every night he would light the street lights.

Every morning he would gather drinking water from the well.

During the day he would work at the docks. Heavy work, but pays well.

In his free time, or even sometimes at work, he would do what he loved the most - fishing.

Of course if the dock manager wasn't around to catch him, otherwise there would be a huge argument about laziness.

At the end of the day, he would just sit around the docks and watch the sundown.

One day, they were expecting new cargo delivery and shipment of fishing nets.

So the sailor went down to set the nets straight before shipping them.

In that moment a stranger arrived to the docks - he was a war veteran, seeking shelter.

He approached the sailor and said he wanted to be fed and needed a place to stay, "now!".

"Of course, you can sleep in my hut and you can join me at dinner, it's not much, but you should be comfortable" - said the sailor.

Stunned by what had happened, the old veteran inquired - "I screamed at you and demanded that you feed me in such a rude manner and you responded to me with such kindness?"

"People lose them selves in the war and forget how little act of kindness can get you far more, rather than brutal demands." - replied the sailor

"How did you know I was in the war?" - asked the veteran - "I didn't say anything!".

"It's too obvious, I could see everything written on your tired face. I was the same." - said the sailor.

"I see you are a man of worth" - said the veteran - "I apologize for my behavior."

"There is nothing to apologize for brother, you are welcome to join me for dinner and share my hut for however long you want." - replied the sailor.

"There aren't many people left like you" - said the veteran - "I thank you!"

Personals / Finding the Elves
January 21, 2018, 04:23:37 PM
As a child, our hero had heard a lot of tales about the mysterious creatures called elves.

His father would read him bedtime stories about the inhabitants of the elven lands and their customs. And every night before falling asleep, he would dream of one day actually meeting them.

As he grew older, he would never forget about the elves. And one day he set on a simple adventure - to meet the elves.

Navigating with the clues from old books and parchments, he found himself in what people would call "the old land of elves", although they weren't seen in years.

After resting for a little bit, under a big old tree, thinking to himself - "probably a lot of elves lived here once!" - he set out to fulfill his long-life dream.

He crossed vast lands and old elven ruins.

He stopped for a while to explore the ruins further. He could not read elvish and there was a lot of symbols written on the old columns.

He ran further inland and finally reached a peculiar and very beautiful lake.

As he gazed upon the horizont, he realized how magnificent the land of elves truly is.

On the right side of the river, he saw an old orc hunter. He thought to himself - "He probably is a native and maybe he can sheath some light on my quest".

He approached the old orc and told him about his quest and asked about directions or pointers.

The old orc mumbled something and left. - "Hrgh... follow... golden trail..find you... need.. hgr".

"Follow the golden trail?" - thought the traveler - "But what golden trail? What does he mean?"

As he streched from the long run and thought about the words of the old orc, he feared that what everyone told him over the years, might be true - it's only a fairy tale and the elves do not exist!

With fear in his mind he started to wallow in sorrow.
Suddenly he felt a glowing sensation behind him and a chill went up his spine.

As he turned around he saw a road made of gold.

"Gold...?" - he said - "that's weird, why would there be gold..."

"Follow the golden trail!" - he thought.

And so he did. He ran as quickly as he could.

As he walked further and further up the golden trail he saw a peculiar creature.

"A unicorn!" - he gasped - "They have been thought extinct for decades!"
That gave him hope, for the elves were shepheards of the unicorns.

Further down the road, he saw a magical circle, made of stones, exactly like the ones in his books - made for elven rituals.

Encouraged from his encounters he followed the golden trail even further.

Before realizing it, he had reached the other side of the lake.

The golden trail lead towards an old chapel among the edge of the riverbank, covered in mist.
He thought about it for a second, but without further hesitation decided to finish his quest, wherever it might lead him.

As he reached the chapel, to his utmost surprise he saw an elf! A real elf!

He bowed to her and asked - "Who are you my fair lady? I have searched for your kind for 20 years."

"Approach me, young traveler" - said the elven girl - "I know what brings you here"

With smile on his face and in his heart, he approached the elf and started talking and telling her everything that he always wished to say.

She told him that he could always come here and yell her name and she would appear if needed.

But she made him promise never to tell anyone else about this place, for it was not yet the time for the elves to come back into the world!

January 20, 2018, 07:20:01 PM
An old elf had a beautiful wife, they lived together happily for many years. But one day his wife fell very ill and none of the medicines helped.

The elf decided to travel and find the Rafael. A wiseman who had a vast knowledge of medicine and magic. The elf thought that for sure the wiseman will have a solution to his problem, so he waved goodbye to his wife and left the town.

After many days of walking he finally arrived at the place of which he heard that the wiseman wonders about. He looked and looked but couldn't find him. Suddenly he spotted an old man sitting under a tree.

It was indeed the wiseman he had searched for. The elf approached Rafael in great haste.

As soon as he got closed he started to explain to the wiseman what misery had befallen him and his wife, he started to cry and shout in agony, begging Rafael to help him.

The wiseman Rafael stood up and told the elf to get a hold of himself and there is indeed such a cure. He had to travel to the land of orcs and find a magical well that could cure any disease known to man.

After hearing those words, the elf thanked the wiseman and left immediately. He swam through rivers and ran through fields for days.

Finally, he arrived at an abandoned house.

He saw an old orc shaman and asked him about the well. The shaman explained to him how the well worked and that there would be consequences for anyone who would take water from the well. But the old elf didn't care about himself. He just wanted to save his wife.

He approached the well and took a whole bucket of magical water. He then ran back to town and gave the water to his wife.
She felt relieve. The water had eased the pain and the disease had begun to subside.

After 3 years, the elf died of unexplainable circumstance.

Personals / Love - Part 2
January 19, 2018, 06:18:58 PM
Behind the house the elf saw piles and piles of building materials. It looked endless.

In front of a little wooden hut he saw a man wearing work clothing.

- Hello - said the elf when he approached - The Master send me to talk to Santiago, I am to work here until I have proven myself worthy of his daughter.

The guy turned around and smiled.

- I am Santiago - he said with a big grin on his face - So.. you are another puppe... I mean worker for the Master huh?
- Yes - said the elf - I am to start immediately.
- Well! - said Santiago - In this case you better get to it. You can see all the work that needs to be done around here, I will be instructing you every day, please follow my instructions.
- Yes sir - said the elf

And so it began.

Everyday work, from dusk till dawn.

Excruciating work and mundane tasks.

"Time couldn't pass slower' thought the elf every morning.

They would use him for every possible task. Whatever needed to be done, he was the guy to do it.

Every now and then, the elf would feel someone watching him from the house. Either from the little window upstairs or the one in the kitchen, but he would never see anyone.

The feeling wasn't sinister like with the Master. It was good and warm feeling.

"I am starting to imagine things from overworking" thought the elf.

Few months passed and the work was nearing its end for the season.

One day the elf approached the Master.

- For the past few months I have done everything you asked of me - stated the elf - I fulfilled my part of the deal, it is time you do the same. Let me meet your daughter!

The Master didn't look happy. "How was he able to survive all this work!?" he thought "I was sure it will kill him, like all the others"

- Indeed you did what was asked of you - said the Master slowly - ... but I have one more task for you
- What is it? - asked the elf - Tell me and let's be done with it.

- While I was visiting my grandfather's grave the other day in the necropolis up on that hill - explained the Master - I lost my cane. It is a family heirloom and it's very precious to me. I need you to retrieve it for me.
- I will do it - said the elf obediently - after that you will let me meet your daughter?
- Yes, yes.. of course - agreed the Master - just bring it back and she will be waiting for you!

"what a fool!" thought the Master. "Once he touches that cane it will be all over for him, it's cursed!"

And so the elf ventured into the necropolis.

"where could it be?" he thought "I looked everywhere for the damn thing!"

Suddenly, he saw a flickering in the underground water tunnel that was passing through the necropolis.

"that must be it!" he thought.

He dove in and swam towards the light reflections.

"there it is!" he thought "it doesn't look like a cane, but it must be it"

He picked it up and hurried back. He felt a little sting, but he thought it must've been from the dirty water.

When he exited the necropolis he felt a bit dizzy.

He didn't know what was causing it. But his resolve was strong and he was determined to complete his task and meet the girl, so he ventured back to the Master's house.

- I did what you asked of me - said the elf - here is your family heirloom.

"Impossible!" thought the Master "how is he even alive!? The curse should've killed him already! Darn elves!"

- I give you the cane - continued the elf - I want to meet your daughter, no more delaying, all requirements have been met.

- You foolish little elf! - the Master finally lost it - This was no cane, it's a cursed wand! You will be gone from this world soon, leaving no trace behind! Only true love can cure the curse and you will never find that before your time runs out! Hahaha! It's over for yo...

- Enough father!! - someone interrupted

The elf felt the warm feeling and the gaze that was watching him all these months. When he turned around, he saw her. The most gorgeous of things. "A beautiful angel" he thought.

- I will not let you continue this father! - said the girl - I ... I love this man!

The elf suddenly felt the heaviness he was feeling from the necropolis being lifted as he approached the girl and bowed.

- You are the most beautiful girl I have ever had the pleasure of gazing upon - said the elf with a tremble in his voice - I have come to..
- Yes - said the girl
- Yes..? - asked the elf confused
- Yes, I will marry you - said the girl - I've been watching you all this time and I feel the goodness in you. I feel that I want to be with you.

"is this it?" thought the elf "Is this true love? What is this feeling I have?"

- You... - stuttered the elf - You have just made me the happiest elf on the planet!

Personals / Love - Part 1
January 17, 2018, 04:42:38 PM
Long time ago, in a far away land, there lived an elf.

Throughout his entire life he had accomplished many things, visited many places, he had seen many weird and funny creatures and had a successful business with his dwarf partner. He was happy and satisfied with the life he had.

But one thing he never had was love. Don't get me wrong, he was very popular with the female kind, but they wanted him for his success and not for who he was.

One day, while doing his usual routines around the city, he had heard a conversation between two traders about this beautiful young girl in the land of Gludin and decided to give it a try, maybe that would be the true love he was looking for all this time, he had nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

He ventured high...

...and low...

Finally, after weeks of searching, he came across a house. It was exactly as the traders had described it.

It was the house of the beautiful girl.

He decided to catch his breath before going in and think about what he's going to say.

He took a stroll down the hill, towards the house. The land around was very well kept and looked like in a fairy tale.

Upon arriving at the house he saw a person in front. The man was dressed in weird clothes and had a funny hat. The elf decided to ask him if he had arrived at the right location.

- Hello. - he said
- Good day to you stranger! - replied the guy

- My name is Piotur, I am the steward at the Master's house - continued the guy in the funny hat - What brings to our humble above?
- I have heard the stories of a beautiful lady and decided to feed my eyes with her beauty - replied the elf with all his modesty
- Ah.. - said Piotur - Indeed you have the right place. But I must warn you, the Master does not take kindly to strangers trying to woe his daughter!
- I am sure I can be persuasive - replied the elf
- Then please, go right in, knock on the door at the house - said Piotur - and best of luck to you.

The elf arrived at the house's main door. It was a beautiful steel door with a golden handle.

He gathered all his courage and knocked.

Suddenly, he heard a sinister laugh behind him.

The presence he felt was very disturbing, filled with darkness and greed. As an elf he could feel things stronger than any other race.

As he turned around he saw a dark figure, dressed in dark clothes, everything about him was dark. He was a Dark Elf , dressed in gorgeous and expensive looking clothing, a hat with a silver duck feather and a very dark smile.

- Welcome to my palace young one - said the Dark Elf - I am the master of this household. What is a pompous little elf like you doing on my land??
- I greet you, Master of the house! - said the elf and performed a bow - I have come from a far away land, to ask your daughter's hand in marriage!

- Hahaha!! - laughed the Dark Elf - YOU? Marrying MY daughter? Don't be silly.
- My resolve is real - the elf persisted - I am very rich and my business is prospering I want to meet your daughter and see her beauty with my own eyes.

Upon hearing the word "rich" the Dark Elf changed his face expression.

- Huumm.. - He said - tell me more
- I have never been married - said the elf in all honesty - I seek a wife who would love me for who I am and not what I do.

"How naive" thought the Dark Elf. "I should take advantage of this fool"

- Walk with me - said the Dark Elf

- All your eyes can see is mine - said the Dark Elf - it all belongs to me. I am the Master of this land, I worked all my life for it to be mine and only mine. Do you think you have what it takes to do the same young one?
- Yes - replied the elf

- Very well - said the Dark Elf - before I let you meet my daughter you have to prove that you are indeed worthy of her!
- I will do whatever it takes - said the elf

- Starting today you will live in the barn and work for me - replied the Dark Elf - you will do whatever I tell you.
- I agree - smirked the elf
- Good. In this case go and talk to Santiago - said the Dark elf - He is in charge of all the work that is done outside of the house, he will be your boss starting now.

- I will go see him - said the elf

Personals / Sifu Chronicles - Part 4 - Old Friends
January 15, 2018, 06:52:59 PM

Sifu saw a weapon shop.
"Of course, best thriving business in the mists of war." - he thought
He decided to take a closer look.

The shop was filled with all kind of weaponry.
From archers to assassins.
It had it all.
For war.
For murder.
It had it all.

He approached the counter.
There was tall guy behind it. All dressed in leather, and heavy gloves. He had a beard and a moustache. Looked in his mid fourties.

- Good day to you! - said the guy behind the counter - How may I be of service?
- I wanted to browse through your weapons - said Sifu - if that is acceptable
- Oh, browse away dear customer - said the moustache guy - browse away, don't let anything stop you! If you like something, let me know right away. How about this sword? Latest elven steel!

He handed him a fine made sword. Engraved with jewels.

"Very good fake" - thought Sifu as he picked the sword in his hand.
- As I said - continued the shopkeeper - It's the finest elven steel we have in the city!
- It's off - said Sifu
- Huh.. I'm sorry? - asked the shopkeeper with slight nudge of anger
- It's off - repeated Sifu - the balance of the weapon is off. The tilt is heavier that it should be. Which makes you miss. A lot.
- Ah, yes, yes - said the shopkeeper - a master swordsman we have here! I understand! I understand! How about this one!

- Too heavy and too pricey - said Sifu - that's a nobleman's weapon, only for the looks.
The shopkeeper started to blink quicker. A vein appeared at his forehead.
- Yes, yes.. - he mumbled - the customer is always right! And this? This is the finest of the finest! Sword made by the dwarves from the Mountain!

- Which have been driven out by the orcs - said Sifu - 4 years ago. But I can see why you were fooled, the sword is indeed well made fake.
The shopkeeper got all red.
- How dare you! - he said - I will not stand for... !
- Sorry I've taken your precious time my good man - said Sifu - I will be on my merry way. Good day to you.
And he left before the angry shopkeeper could finish his angry monologue.

As he continued to walk around the city, he finally arrived at the place he was looking for.
The inn.

Eerie music was coming out.
There was the smell of alcohol and cheap whores in the air.
The drunkards were wobbling out of the inn, while the gals were singing with the sailors, about the adventures to come and the booze that was gone. Monster that were slain, and girls to be wed.
"Ah, home" - he thought "Master Papius wasn't lying after all. It does look good"

Suddenly he heard a familiar voice behind him.
- Hundred bearded whores! - the voice screamed - If it isn't my old pal Sifu!
- Jaren! - said Sifu - What are you doing here old buck!
- Where 'theres cheap booze and cheaper whores, Jaren is always there - the dwarf replied
- Ah, why am I even asking - laughed Sifu

- What brings you to this wretched place, dear friend? - asked the dwarf - I bet it's not for the same reasons as me.
- You are right, though not entirely - said Sifu - I do enjoy the occasional debauchery.
- Don't we all? - said the dwarf - But really, what is the purpose of your visit.
- I have my reasons - said Sifu
- You always were the mysterious one - replied Jaren

- Why aren't you inside the inn? - asked Sifu - what's more interesting out here?
- Ah! Right on the money! - said Jaren - I almost forgot about her. Very observant, very observant.
- I try. - said sifu - So?
- Well take a looksie over here! - said the dwarf and pointed behind the barrels.

There was a girl standing there, really beautiful.
Dressed in fancy clothes and jewels.
Hair well done.
Wasn't a regular at the inn. You could tell.

- I see - said Sifu - that would keep me away from the inn as well.
- Right? - laughed the dwarf - you always did have the good eye!
- She doesn't really look that much interested in you though - said Sifu
- Ermh... - coughed the dwarf - I am still working on that! Never underestimate old Jaren Bolt! The lady vanquisher!
- Right - said Sifu - Wasn't it Jaren Bolt the bad gambler?
- Come on now, that was just few bad investments - said Jaren - you can not judge a person entirely by that, besides.. it was a long time ago.

- I see - said Sifu - indeed it was a long time ago
- So how about you? - said the dwarf - Have you met with her?
- Her? - asked Sifu surprised - What do you mean?
- Well you know, your fancy lady magician - said the dwarf - I assumed that's why you were really here... or was I mistaken.

Sifu had that expressionless face.
Then he got pale.
- Oh.. - said the dwarf - So you didn't know..
- She... she is here? - asked SIfu with a trembling voice - In the city?

- Well - said the dwarf - she was couple of nights ago. It looked like she was waiting for someone. When I saw you, I thought she was waiting for you.
- Where is now..? - asked Sifu
- She went to the lighthouse at the edge of the city - answered the dwarf - apparently there was some kind of magic field over there, or so she said. You know she was never good at conversation.
- Yes.. - said Sifu - Indeed..
- So..? - asked the dwarf - Are you going to see her?

- I don't have anything to say to her. - replied Sifu
- Come on old friend - gasped the dwarf - we both know that's not the case. There is too much history between the two of you. Go and talk to her!
- Maybe I will - replied Sifu - right now I need a drink!
- Amen to that! - laughed the dwarf as they went inside the inn.

Personals / Sifu Chronicles - Part 3 - The City
January 14, 2018, 03:51:37 PM
Two days passed.
Sifu arrived at the city.
It was foggy. The usual weather for the south.
The sun was trying to make its way through the wall of clouds, a struggle that has been going on since the dawn of creation.
The crickets sang the song of war.
Something felt heavy in the air.
He closed his eyes.

When he arrived at the east gate to the city, one of four main gates, leading inside, one of the guards approached him.

- No weapons - mumbled the guard
- What do you mean? - asked Sifu
- Just what I said - replied the guard
- Care to elaborate a bit more, as to why I cannot protect myself inside your city - asked Sifu
- Since we had the slaughter at the market - said the guard - the commander of the city had banned entry with weapons, only guards and nobles are to carry weapons inside.
- I see - said SIfu

The guard was looking at the big sword that the stranger was carrying.
"What waste of energy to handle such a big sword" - he thought.
He blinked.
The weapon was gone.

- Wha.. what sorcery is this?! - stumbled the guard - where did your sword go?
- What sword? - asked Sifu
- Don't play games with me stranger - said the guard while he pulled his bow - I saw it bright as day!
- You are welcome to search me - replied Sifu

The guard searched him, but didn't find anything resembling a weapon.
- Pfft... - said the guard - you may pass
- And a good day to you - said Sifu as he entered the city.

He felt that heaviness in the air again.
He could feel the fires that ones engulfed the city.
Not so far from this moment in time.

As he walked among the buildings, he could see the destruction that war brings.
Yes. There was a war fought here.
The city was rebuilding.
"Not quick enough" - he thought

He saw the ruins and misery.
Poverty and disease had plagued the city's streets.
"Faith?" - he thought - "Destiny, set in stone."

Consumed with his thoughts he suddenly stopped, dead in his tracks.
He could feel someone watching him.

"The building to the south east, second floor" - this thoughts passed through his mind in a flash.
He turned around.
No one was there.
He looked closely.
Not a trace.

He closed his eyes.
"Yes.." - he thought - "Magic"

He walked further into the city.
It was one of the biggest coastal cities on the south west.
Import and export was thriving, before the war that is.
It was a key location for military maneuvers, every tactician knew that.

The city itself was prosperous.
Many noblemen had made it their home.

It was located beneath mountain Vesuvius, a big volcano, that prophecies always claimed will erupt, but never did.
"Faith" - he thought

He checked the market and the shops.
Not many were open.
"That's war for you" - thoughts passed his mind

Personals / Sifu Chronicles - Part 2 - First Encounter
January 10, 2018, 02:58:21 PM
Sifu approached the old lighthouse.

"Yes." - he thought
He looked around the house. It was torn down from the harsh environment and no upkeep to speak off.

As he walked around he noticed few strange things that were only visible to him. He was looking for clues.

The lantern was lit, with no flame.

The windows were barred. From the inside.

The cellar was blocked with stones.
With a little hole left in the middle.
As if someone was breathing through it...

He went around the back. The main entrance was there. Locked.
As he closed his eyes again, he felt it.
He looked around.
His eyes stopped at the tree near the house.
"Yes" - he thought - "That's where the bones are."

He put the sword down and started digging beneath the old tree.

Suddenly, he saw it.
Behind him. On the left
He turned around slowly.
He saw it as bright as day.
A specter.
Sinister being.
Created from the hatred and fed with the pain and suffering of others.
A being he had encountered many times on his journeys.

With a lightning reflex he reached for his sword.
Too late.
He felt a magic dawn upon him.
He was encumbered.
It was over.

"Good." - he thought - "That's how it should be."

Silence dawned.
After a while..
.. It spoke.
In the common language.

- This is not the end, child of the shadows - said the specter

It didn't move Its lips.
It couldn't speak.
But he could still hear It's voice.
Inside.
Inside his thoughts.
"Don't blink." - he thought to himself - "Don't..."

He blinked.

The being past right through him. He felt it take in everything he had.
All his memories.
Sad.
And good.
The ones that were long gone.
Buried.

He felt the being behind him.
Back to back.
It spoke.

- The day of the revelation is upon us - It said - your awakening is coming, child of the shadows.
- What revelation? - he asked. - I don't understand.
- You do - the being spoke with multiple voices at the same time. - You must find the promised child. The child of surprise.
He was quiet.
He knew.
He knew what the being was talking about.
- I do not believe in the predestined meeting - he finally said - My masters taught me about the revelation, but it is nothing but a bunch of lies and dementia spoken by the relics of the past. I shall not live my life the way it was supposed to be lived. I need... I need something more.

He felt the being move away.
It wasn't a specter.
He knew.
He could feel it.

- Do not walk away from your destiny - It spoke - You are branded. You bare the mark. You shall finish what was once started.

- The revelation is upon us - It spoke - there isn't much time.

- Find the child - It spoke - Find your destiny.
He felt it disappear.

The magic was lifted.
He could move again.

As he turned around for a second he thought he saw a figure in the mist.
A figure he thought he knew.
He thought he saw.
But he didn't.

He cleared his head.
Closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He could no longer feel it.
It was gone.
"Maybe I was dreaming?" - he thought - "Was it... was it just a dream?"
He knew it wasn't.

He picked up his sword.
It felt good.
His old partner.

He approached the cliff and looked into the distance.
"That which is long gone, but always expected." - he thought - "There is no going back."
"The promised child? I will not accept that."
"My destiny?!"
"I will change it."
"It's mine and mine alone."

Personals / Sifu Chronicles - Part 1 - The Awakening
January 09, 2018, 06:54:30 PM
On a misty morning, a stranger appeared in the land of Dion.

Stepping lightly, almost cat-like, he stepped down from the bridge and onto the road.
He moved slowly, but you could almost feel him running from something.

At the same time, near the bridge, a master dwarf was in the middle of his idle worries.
The kind we all have.
Everyday worries.

The dwarf felt someone approach him. He didn't hear or see it, he just felt it. But he somehow knew that he felt it, only because the presence allowed him to.

He turned around.

What he saw was a man dressed in silk white clothing, the kind you don't see around these parts. Looked expensive, but well worn and earned. His shoes were dirty, implying a long road left behind him. He wore a hat, with a big long white feather. Unusual.

The thing that stood out the most was his sword. A gigantic sword that he carried with ease on his right hand. Surely, a thing no ordinary man could do.

- H-hello stranger - mumbled the dwarf - My name is Papius.
The stranger looked at him, it seemed as he was reading the dwarfs mind.
Suddenly he bowed.

- Greeting to you master dwarf - said the stranger - My name is Sifu.
- I greet you Sifu - replied the dwarf with a bit of reserve - What brings you to these parts?

- I traveled from the south and I am looking for a place to rest my weary soul - answered Sifu - Do you perhaps know of any inn nearby?
- Ahh, now you speak my language - said the dwarf with a big grin on his face - If you are looking for an inn, then you are looking for the Lucky Pony, downtown. It's the best inn in the whole region!
- Many thanks master Papius - replied Sifu - I shall depart.
- Wait - said the dwarf suddenly
That "Wait" felt set in stone to Sifu. Almost predetermined.
- didn't you say that you traveled here from the South? - continued the dwarf.
- You are most correct - said Sifu while looking around
- But all the ships are banned from entering the north harbors - stated the dwarf - How could you get here? Did you get smuggled in?
- I traveled here via the north-south bridge master Papius - said Sifu

- The bridge ?! - said the dwarf - Please stop with the nonsense. That bridge has been closed for 20 years. Ever since the last great war came upon our lands.
- Is that so.. - replied Sifu - I guess I must take your word for it.

Suddenly they heard a howling.
It came from up the hill.
Chills went down the spine.

- Oh, darn it to hell - said the dwarf - again those noises.
Sifu closed his eyes.
- Do you hear the howling often? - he asked when he finally opened them.
- Yes, yes, bloody wolves, I bet. - said the dwarf - You can hear them howling every day, the sounds come from the old lighthouse, way up there.

- Wolves don't howl in the morning, master Papius - stated Sifu
- Yes.. well... I guess these do! - stumbled the dwarf
- I guess it's worth checking out - said Sifu after a while
- Oh, no, no, you don't wanna go there - said the dwarf with a pale face - everyone knows that the old lighthouse is haunted. The old Sirius, God rest his soul, went mad after his girls committed suicide and jumped from the cliffs. He hanged himself. No one ever goes there, except the bloody wolves.

Sifu listened to Papius story and nodded.
- I am looking for work - he finally said - maybe if I can get rid of the howling, your townsmen can muster up some coins. Coins I can later spend at the inn?
- Hmm.. - said the dwarf - perhaps, perhaps.. few coins.. you never know.
- It's settled then - said Sifu

- Point the direction master Papius - said Sifu - I will be on my way

- Up there, on the hill. - said the dwarf, while pointing in the direction of the lighthouse - I wish you safe return.
"But i doubt it will be so" - he thought

- I bid you a good day - said Sifu as he left for the hill.

As he was climbing the hill, Sifu suddenly stopped. He took a deep breath of the cold morning air and as he opened his eyes he looked up to the skies.
"It's the time of the red moon" - he thought - "All supernatural is free to roam the earth."

"Superstitions?" - the thought appeared in his mind.

A priest was going to gather some herbs for the church hospital. He decided to go through the forest near Dion castle.

He got tired and decided to take some rest - running around all day day in the heat was tiring. He found a big circle of rocks that looked comfy and provided shade, so he decided to rest there.

As he was sitting, the priest heard a strange buzzing and whistling behind the big rock.

He stood up and focused his ears in the general direction of the weird sounds. He couldn't figure out what was making this strange noises. He thought about running away, but in the end he decided to go and check it out.

As the priest approached the place where the sounds were coming from,  he found a strange looking rock.
"A humming rock?" - gasped the priest - "That's got to be the strangest think ever!"
Offended by the words of the priest, the rock replied - "I'm not a rock! I am a magical symbol !"

"A magical symbol?" - asked the priest in ave.
"That's right" - replied the symbol - "I am an old and magically engraved symbol and I am very bored!"

"How could a rock.. I mean a magical symbol, be bored?" - asked the priest
"Well, why don't you lie around for a century and we`ll see if you don't get bored" - replied the symbol
The priest thought about it and made sense to him - "Okay then, how could I help diminish your boredom?"
"You can take me for an adventure" - said the symbol - "I will reward you with gold for your trouble!"
"Gold?" - thought the priest - "I would use it to help rebuild the old part of the church!"

He picked um the magical symbol and put him in his front jacked pocket

After few hours of running, over the guidance of the symbol, they finally arrived at an old tree high up on a hill. The three was guarded by Delu Lizardman.

"How are we going to get past that Lizardman?" - asked the priest
"Don't over about that, I have a spell for this kind of situations" - replied the symbol - "just repeat after me.."

Suddenly the priest started casting a spell..

.. and he became invisible!

He walked up to the tree and found 1000 gold bars, he picked them up and went home with the magical symbol in his care!

A poor and old farmer lived in a small cottage near the town of Dion. He lived together with his young and beautiful wife.

The farmer owned a field, on which he worked every day from sunset to sundown.

After which he would gaze upon on the horizon and think about how happy he was.

As fate would have it though, the young wife didn't share the farmers optimism. She always yearned to enjoy life by going to fairs and by spending a lot of money on finery and visiting new towns.  But due to his old age arid feeble health, the old farmer hardly left his house and did not earn more than that which was necessary. So the young wife often felt sad.

One day, when the farmer left to work in the field, the young wife started to cry.

On the same day a rogue was passing by the farm and saw the young woman cry.

He decided to approach her - "what troubles you my lady?" - he asked.
"Oh woes me.." - said the wife and explained everything to the rogue, about how she was unhappy and wanted adventures.

"In that case, why don't you leave your husband and come travel with me, I am a rouge and my life is on the road, I go through town to town and help people in need." - explained the rogue.

"Gather all the gold you have, pack some of your clothes and meet me tonight at the old bridge, by the mill in Floran village.

To his suggestion, the young wife readily agreed. That night she gathered all her fine clothes and a substantial amount of jewellery and adena and left for the meeting place.

As she reached the old bridge, she saw the rogue waiting for her.
"Give me all the gold and jewelery you have." - said the rogue - "I will go to town and buy us all the stuff we need for our travel together"

They young woman agreed and watched the rogue run towards the town.

She waited and waited, but the rogue never showed up.

She started to cry. She wept and wept for hours, for how stupid she was for believing the rogue and ever leaving her husband.

She decided to go back to the farm. She waited for her husband to come back and explained everything to him.

The husband smiled and bowed.

I don't care about any of our belongings, the important thing for me is that you are save and sound.
Hearing those words made the young wife very happy, she had finally found the peace and happiness she always wanted.

Personals / Value of Gold
December 29, 2017, 03:42:42 PM
Started up like a normal day. I woke up in the usual awesome manner and looked at myself in the mirror. I was so happy with the person that I've become.

I was hungry so I decided to make myself some elpy soup with keltir meatballs. Best of the best culinary achievements , of course, made by me.

It takes some time to cook it well, so in the meanwhile I decided to read a book. For the love of me I couldn't decide which one tho.

I looked around my bookshelves and tried to find something that would maybe spark my interest and feed my constant hunger for knowledge. Although my constant hunger for awesomeness and knowledge is hard to satisfy, I was able to do it. Finally, on the top shelf, I spotted a book that I always wanted to read. "The History of Elmore Kingdom".

I sat in front of the fireplace, and started reading the book. The smell of my soup spread all around the house. It was quite empowering.

After a while, I decided to go for a stretch and gather some herbs.

I went to my usual place, east from the river.

It's not an easy job gathering herbs, you know. My back started to hurt like hell.

As I decided to sit and rest my back, I noticed something shiny under a tree. So I dug it up.
It turned out to be 100 golden coins! Very old by the looks of it.

I wasn't intrigued by the gold, but by the extraordinary find. I've never been much of a materialist myself, nor have I been greedy, so the gold wasn't alluring to me at all.

After I dug out all of the coins I decided to clean them, they were so dirty and rusty, poor little coins!

After I cleaned them, I went back home and started arranging them in even piles. They were so shiny...

Truly beautiful.

Just to kill time I was imagining all the things I could buy with them...
I was thinking, If a greedy man had found them instead of me, how happy he would probably be...
Fortunately...
Fortunately I am not like that.

After a few days, a man came and knocked at my doorsteps..
It was my neighbor. Scrooge.

The bastard claimed that the gold coins I found, were buried on his land and that they belonged to his grandfather, so naturally, now they were his.

He got me so mad....

                                                     .... that I killed him!

If he didn't wanted the coins so desperately, I would've given them to him,
because, I don't care about things that you can buy with gold!

But one thing is for sure:
                                              I hate greedy people!

THE END !

Once upon a time, there lived an old dwarf and his daughter.

The dwarf was a master craftsman and he specialized in shoe making.

One day he called his daughter to the workshop.

"Dear daughter" - he said - "I have an important task for you. You are of age now and I want you to continue the family business one day, but first you must learn the profession."
"What am I to do father" - asked the daughter
"You are going to go deep into the woods in search of the Hunter Bears and spoil leather from their bodies, because we are running low on supply."

"As you wish father" - agreed the daughter
"I am giving you Mjolnir, the spoil hammer, that has been passed in generations in our family. May it serves you well!"

Happy with the task given her, the daughter embarked on a journey.

First she went to the gatekeeper in the Dwarven village and asked to be teleported to the Western Mining Zone.

After casting the teleportation magic, she found herself deep in the woods, surrounded by trees and snow.

She started running east, as her father instructed her. She passed the big water pumping station.

Stopped for a snack. She had some dwarven biscuits in her backpack. Delicious.

As she was running, she got chased by a Goblin.

She dispatched the dreadful creature with ease, using the power of Mjolnir.

She got lost from all the chasing around, so had to ask for direction from a guard passing by.

She could not understand him very well, for his was a bit drunk with dwarven ale.

Finally, she reached the designated place on the map, her father had given her and she found the beasts.

Not wasting a second, she begun spoiling and fighting the bears.

Mjolnir had proven a valuable asset in this situation.

"Boy, with this hammer I will be done in no time!" - she gasped.

In just a few hours, she spoiled enough leather to last them a whole winter.

After she had done her job well, she returned home, to her father.

With tears in his eyes, he welcomed his beloved daughter into his arms.

Very pleased with her work, he praised her and said one day she would become a great Forture Seeker!

and.. they lived happily ever after!

Personals / Sword with a Curse?
December 18, 2017, 01:35:38 AM
Once upon a time, there lived an adventurer. He was an amateur, but his heart was pure. All he wanted was to explorer new lands and find adventures.

But as luck would have it, adventures found him first.

One day as he was exploring the lands north from Oren town, he stumbled upon odd looking structures.

"Hmm, is it magical ward?" - he thought to himself - "It looks like a ward. I wonder if can get past through it?"

And he did.

It looked magical indeed. As he looked up, he could feel a stranger energy gathering and for some reason, he had the feeling that he was imprisoned.

And indeed he was unable to leave. But suddenly behind him, he heard a voice. - "Do you want to leave?"

"Yes! I do want to leave!" - said the traveler.
"First you have to do something for me" - replied the voice.
"Anything! Just let me get out of here" - yelled the traveler.

Suddenly he was able to step out from the barrier.

As he approached the voice, he was quite shocked. He saw a jewel-looking giant mirror and a little creature sitting on it.

"Thank you for freeing me," - said the traveler - "I don't know what would I've done if it wasn't for your. How can I repay you?"
"I have a task for you, something that I can't do myself." - replied the creature - "I want you to enter the Sea of Spores and get me the Sword of Orfen!"
"You see I am trapped, just like you were and only the sword can free me!" - explained the creature further.
"I will help you!" - said the traveler

"Very good!" - said the creature with evil grin on his face - "You need to find Orfen and his lair, the sword will be hidden somewhere in the area"
"I will do my best" - answered the traveler.

He looked west and he could see an enormous barrier, just like the one he was before, but on a much larger scale.

He found few small entrances with weird looking signs on the floor. But he didn't think much of it.

As he entered inside the barrier, he found himself inside the Sea of Spores. The air was very heavy here.

He met stranger looking creatures, that he had never even heard of .

He sat under a tree to rest a bit.

But to his surprise the tree actually moved away!

The adventurer was very puzzled, but also happy, that finally he had a real adventure.

"All right, time to get the job done and help the little devil!" - he thought to himself. "If I was a big-ass scary demon, where would I hide my magical sword?!"

As he looked around, his eyes saw something evil in the distance. It was in fact Orfen.

The evil prince saw the adventurer and started chasing him away.

The adventurer ran with all the strentgh in his legs.

He was able to escape and hide behind some rocks.

But Orfen kept looking for him.

As he breathed a sight of relieve he saw something glimmering behind him.

It was a huge sword.

"This must be the sword!" - he thought - "what a lucky day!"

He picked it up.

It was quite heavy.

Very happy with the finding, the adventurer was overjoyed. But for a short time...

Orfen had heard him and as the adventurer looked up, something big was standing over him!

He ran quickly, but the sword was slowing him down a lot.

But he didn't give up and ran towards the exit.

With the last bits of breath he reached the end of the barrier...

...and was able to ecape.

When outside, he could hear the terrible screams of Orfen - "Nooo, what have you done, foolish human!"

He went straight towards the little demon, to give him the sword.

"I have the sword!" - he said - "Now you can be free too!"

"Good, good, very good!" - grinned the creature - "There is one last thing I need you to do."
"What is that?" - asked the traveler.

"I need you to swing the sword as hard as you can and break the mirror!" - said the creature

"And that will free you?" - asked the traveler.
"Yes, yes, that will free me" - replied the creature.
"Okay then" - agreed the traveler. - "I will swing as hard as i can, so watch out."

He started swinging the sword and accelerate speed.

After which he hit the mirror with all his strenght. He felt trembling on the sword, but nothing happened.

"I'm so sorry!" - said the traveler - "I am not strong enough, I wasn't able to help you!"

"No, you did good, very good!" - laughed the creature - "Your soul will be mine now, forever!"
"What do you mean??" - asked the traveler with fear

Suddenly he felt a weird sensation. Like his body was somewhere else.

When he opened his eyes, could see himself, trapped inside the barrier.
"What is going on?" - he thought to himself.

His soul was separated from the body and transfered into a different one!
He had became the creature he was trying to help.

A sad ending to a wonderful story.

December 09, 2017, 12:42:39 PM
Once upon a time, in the lands covered with trees and rivers, there lived an Elf.

He was a peaceful creature, not harming anyone, living his life in harmony inside the deep forest.

Everyday he would go on a walk, to the top of the forest and to his favorite place - the waterfall.

On this particular day, he decided to gather some mushrooms for dinner, before heading out on a walk.

He loved eating the forest mushrooms, they were delicious when cooked with some herbs.

Although he had problems, when gathering some of the mushrooms.

When he swam to the other side of the forest river, something unexpected happened.

The elf was attacked by a giant lizard, from nearby tribe. Without a warning or explanation why this is happening, the lizard rushed towards the elf.

At first he tried defending only, but as the attacks of the lizardman were getting more and more powerful, he had no choice but to fight back.

All elves are creatures of magic, they are very well versed in the arcane arts. And so was our elf, he had to use magic to repel the feeble lizardman.

He delivered the final blow.

Not happy about what had the happened, the elf had mixed thoughts. He was feeling sad that he had to do, what he had to do, but in the end he decided it was either him or the lizardman.

Trying to forget about the fight, the elf continued towards his favorite place to gather his thoughts.

Once more he had to cross the river.

And make his way up the hill.

He could see the waterfall in the distance and hear the water crashing down. Beautiful sight.

He was almost at the bottom of the waterfall.

But once again, trouble would find him.

Another lizardman appeared in front of the entrance to the waterfall.
"I will avenge my fallen comrade, you miserable elf!" - mumbled the lizard
"Leave now and I will not harm you, creature!" - insisted the elf.

But the lizardman begun to attack.

Once again faced with a life or death situation, the elf had to fight back.

Once again he was forced to his magic in order to preserve his life.

With even heavier thoughts, he continued up the hill.

He could feel the waterfall breeze and water splashing down his face.

He stopped for a second and felt like he was entering a sanctuary, so peaceful. He was glad he was alive to witness this.

At the end of the waterfall, he was close to his favorite spot. All he had to do was cross the bridge.

It was a huge bridge, left by the giants that once lived in the forest. A long forgotten era.

Unfortunately, as he crossed the bridge, more trouble awaited him.

The whole tribe of lizardmen was waiting for him at the end of the bridge.

"Death to the elves!" - screamed the shamans as they begun whirl spells at the elf.

The elf defended himself, as he always would.

The battle went on for few minutes, but the lizardmen were unable to defeat the elf's powerful magic.

At the end of the battle the elf was finally able to reach his spot. He sat down, tired from all the fighting that had been going on and he reflect on life.

He appreciated the beauty of life and thought that even if he had to step on others to be here, he would do it. For life is beautiful in it's own unique way and you should never relinquish your place in it, for others gain.

Personals / Necromancer's wishes
December 07, 2017, 01:46:53 PM
In year 666 on the 6th day of the 6th month at 18:00 a dark presence was felt in the town of Rune.

A necromancer had appeared in the hour of the two moons colliding, once every 666 years.

She approached the gates of the town.

The guards could feel the eeiry presence.

As he saw a girl approaching the gates, one of the guards stopped her and asked for documents and reason for entering the town.

Without saying a word, suddenly a bright signs appeared around the guard.
"Yes, you can pass safely. Please enter"

A dark curse had been casted upon the guard.

The necromancer ignored the town square and headed straight towards the Rune library.

Upon entering the library, she looked around and her gaze stopped on the grand master of the library. She approached him.

He could feel her evil presence and was very hesitant to talk with her.
She asked if she could gain permission to enter the inner library and browse through the secret archives.

"The secret archives?!?!" - gasped the library master - "How do you even know about...."

Before he could finish his sentence a rune inscribed circle appeared around him and he pointed her into the general direction of the inner library. - "This way, my lady" - he said.

As she reached the end of the wall, she stopped and waved her hand, suddenly a hidden passageway was revealed, leading into the inner library and the secret archives.

Once inside, the necromancer closed the wall and started browsing through all the books.

She looked like she was looking for something in particular.

After hours of browsing, she still wouldn't stop searching.

She would just sit around the candle light and read all the books, without mumbling a single word.

Finally she reached the middle of the book section and something caught her eye. On the wall there was hanging, what looked like, a very ancient scroll.

It was a summoning spell.
She opened the scroll and tried to cast a spell, but nothing happened.

As she read the whole scroll, she found out that the spell needs to be casted on a crossroads.

She left the library and went outside of town. She found a crossroad.

She then proceeded to casting the spell from the scroll.

A burst of light appeared in front of her and something rose from the ground.

A dreadful demon was summoned by the necromancer.

She bowed to the demon and asked for his help in destroying the world of men.

"Ha!" - smirked the demon - "A mere mortal summoning me!"

"Begone insect" - said the demon and in one fell swoop destroyed the necromancer.

"The dark arts are not something to be recon with" - said the demon as he perished with the soul of the necromancer - "a mere human should never hold such power"

He destroyed the summoning scroll.

Personals / Ordeal of the Craftsman
December 03, 2017, 02:20:35 PM
Once upon a time in the land of Aden there lived a master craftsman.

A jolly fella, but also a master in his art of crafting.

He could create and fix anything. People would call him for the most peculiar of reasons.

The dwarf would fix dwarven golems, broken steam machines, elven aquaducts, basically anything you can think of.

But the thing he was most famous for was the crafting of fine weapons and armors.

He would carefully pick the materials needed for crafting, before he proceeded.

One day he got called into the palace by the lord himself.

"Your ever so humble servant has arrived" - said the dwarf as he bowed.
"Welcome master dwarf" - the lord greeted him.
"What task have you in store for me, my lord?" - inquired the dwarf.
"In three weeks my son comes of age, I want to give him a marvelous sword that he would use to slay our enemies" - explained the lord.
"I would get right on the task my lord" - said the dwarf.
"But be mindful, I don't want just any sword, I want a sword of your finest material - mithril!" - added the lord.
"That would be difficult my lord, but I will do my best!" - vowed the dwarf.

Burdened by this heavy task, the dwarf equipped his best armor and weapon and set out for the mithril mines, far deep in the land of dwarves.

As he entered the mines, the guardian greeted him.
"I have received a letter from our lord" - he said - "you may enter the mine, but be careful."
"I will" - said the craftsman - "thank you for your consern brother"

As he entered the mine, he would search for the richest with mithril wall and start digging.

After hours of digging, he was finally able to dig out a big enough piece of mithril to craft a sword from.

He went back to his smithy and begun the crafting procedures.
To his surprise though, the mithril would not bend to his hammer.

Discouraged by the what had occurred, he thought for a while what to do.

He decided to seek advice from other blacksmiths across the land.

But no one knew the answer to his question.

As he searched for answers, he was finally able to learn something interesting from one of the blacksmiths.

"It is very hard to bend mithril" - said the blacksmith - "I know of only one person who is still alive and knows the technique"
"Please tell me who he is" - pleaded the craftsman - "I don't have any other choice, but to ask his guidance"

"Very well." - said the blacksmith - "He is no longer in the crafting business, so he spends his days in the fields near Oren town, but be careful, they are filled with Ol Mahums, you should probably go during the night, to avoid any troubles."

And so the craftsman went during the night. He was able to pass, for the guards were all drunk and asleep.

Upon the hill, he saw a figure of a dwarf. He approached and greeted him.

"Master Reorin I presumed" - said the craftsman as he bowed - "I search your council"
"Hoho, I haven't been called a master for 100 years" - said Reorin - "Tell me what troubles you young dwarf!"

"I have been given a task by the lord to craft a sword for his sons birthday" - explained the craftsman - "The lord wanted a finest sword created from mithril. I gathered the materials needed, but I can't mold it into a sword"
"Hohoho, of course you can't young dwarf" - smirked Reorin - "the only way to bend mithril is by using a Titan hammer."

"But where would I find such a magnificent tool, surely they are all extinct by now" - gasped the craftsman.
"Yes.. yes.." - confirmed Reorin ".. but not all"

He pulled something from his bag and gave it to the craftsman.
It was a Titan hammer! Marvelous specimen, very well preserved.

"By Baium's beard!" - gasped the craftsman - "Titan's hammer!"
"use it wisely" - said Reorin.
"Thank you for this gift master Reorin, I will definitely give it back without a scratch!"

They bid farewell and the craftsman returned to his smithy.

Using the powerful Titan Hammer, he was able to mold the mithril into a marvelous sword.

He presented it to the lord with the words:
"Maestro Reorin sends his regards! May it serves your son well."
