So, I have a Windows 10 install and the game works there. Gotta try and eliminate whats interfering with L2 in the Windows 8.1 install hmm. Maybe some virtual network driver type stuff or something?

Well, support is not very helpful. He seems to think its an Updater issue, links to and keeps asking me to download .NET Framework 2.0, even after I showed him that it is installed and thats how it is bundled under Windows 8.1 >_<

Oh well. I hope someone else had this issue and fixed it Trying it out on my laptop now

I confirmed I have .NET Framework 2.0 (x86). Running Windows 8.1 Pro.

Hey everyone:

I get this error. I downloaded via the torrent, got the updater, updated with full check, my files seem to be similar to my friend's. So this is a configuration/setting issue I think. Am running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. Not running on a virtual machine.

First, System.dll - Sorry, this application cannot run under a Virtual Machine


After I dismiss that, I get l2.exe: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.


I searched around a bit, but to no avail. I've run L2 on Windows 8 before as well.

Original post was badly written, but in case some people really didnt understand, I think this is what he meant:

I think he wonders if this will be allowed here, or if it will be prevented like OLs and Artisans cannot use this service. I am curious as well.

It probably CAN be done, but they will not do it. Sorry, but find some way to play with it. Its how Lineage 2 was designed. Good luck.

You start by saying they are not bugged and then finish saying people bug them .. Are these chars dwarves? Looks like a client-side problem to me. Perhaps try updating the client using the updater if you havent done so already? Are you running GF client? Do  you remember where these chars were before gludio?

IF this was a custom server I would understand. When practically NO feature is deviating from the classic official L2 version of GF, how can you even get yourself to ask for such changes? I know many people would even leave the server if things like this keeps changing. People are so used to higer rate custom this, custom that, multiple RBs of the same type, easy this, easy that. Jeez.

For now, teleport youself using the online account panel to gludio?

Hope that "everything" also includes sending in a support ticket!
