Title: spoil/drop rates
Post by: sNd ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿ on October 15, 2010, 01:44:57 AM
why are you gonna boost chance again instead of ammount?

the whole population was complaining about it on 5x, its just totally stupid and you will waste tons of time to drop/spoil mats, im not asking for 15x ammounts obviously but 3-5x with drop rate depending on that should definitly be considered.

thought it would have been obvious after tons of ppl complaining about it on 5x server for 2 months. add it in the poll or at least reconsider boosting ammount for mat drops/spoils

Cuz if they improve ammount they need to change some items 1by1, so much work .)

It isn't mentioned in the poll, but the rates are supposed to reverse if chance is over 100%.

If 1x retail item "ex" has chance 5% and our rates are 10x chance 1x amount, then final rate will be 50% with 1x amount.
If 1x retail item "ey" has chance 20% and our rates are 10x chance 1x amount then final rate will be 20% with 10x amount.

This is what i understood, i'm not sure it's like this. And ofc it's only for basic mats.

Lets talk about that more closey, since its a mandatory point in server economy and therefor also responsible for the success...
If the chacne rate would go higher than 100%, the ammount will be raised instead? and if, at which rate?

Will that also apply to quests?

is the ammount always retail like? or is it raised from the beginning ?

i also agree
f.e x15 SP/XPrates. The drop rates will be 10x chance and 1x amount. Spoil rates will be 10x chance and 1x amount. Quest rates will be 5x (only reward in adena/xp/sp and amount of items obtained from mob; also, not all quests will be boosted)
should be
The drop rates will be 1-3x chance and 10-5x amount. Spoil rates will be 3x chance and 5x amount. Quest rates will be 5x (only reward in adena/xp/sp and amount of items obtained from mob; also, not all quests will be boosted)

and talking about quests. i remember me farming (senseless i know) for GC quest for ages to get a tallum plate recipe.
Therefor it would also be interessting which quest are going to be raised.

getting 5 times ammount in IT with a slightly increased rate, adjusted to the 15X exp rate would fit better imho. But maybe it goes too fast then =o

anyways the IT quest should imo be as effordable as the FOG quest because i think thats how it was intended by nc soft ...

Good you remember to mention this, also i got to add 1 more thing DO NOT CHANGE CAKES PRICES WITHOUT ANNOUNCE like they did on x5 so ppl who donated after 3 days till they receive Coins they could buy only half for what they payed for.

sry but ... this topic is not jet about cakes =P
since any other topic already argues about those id say let this one focus on the rates only.
