A lot of people have been using shout for trade, and that's annoying. I mean, the rules are clear, why don't they respect them?

(I couldn't find a more appropriate section)
Honestly i like seeing trades on shouts. when i see someone selling or buying something on shout, its an oportunity to make business (to try to get better prices).
I find it anoying when i change to + window and find it that everyone seem to have 4 or 5 trade bots, thus making a tsunami of lines than i cant read properly.
Like, trading on shout [ ! ], i know that thers a good chance its a live player, rather than on [ + ] shout, its a bot, or a wave of 'em
You have a point, but i'm pretty sure that many of them were bots, because of the short delay and constant repetition of their messages.
Once again, it'll be great if the walker has the auto-message disable.
Cannot trade with nobrain russians because they dont speak english.
κy )
chatban em all :D rules are rules !
The only solution is to ban their main characters for a week or so, they won't learn by any other means.

GJ for being a non sense spammer in this world.
/ontopic: the most suitable punishment for these peeps would be a chat ban on all their accounts for at least 3 days. Both for those that spam trades on shout and those that spam from 20 sec to another on trade chat.
I'm giving 6k minutes chat bans almost daily. I can't do more then this. Jailing is not an answer, as they will just create a new acc/char and continue the spam. This is up to you, the players. If you can't realize this spam does no good for anyone then ...
I will continue to chat ban when ever i log in.

actually, jail for a few days might be better. they will make a new account, but the stuff they are selling is in jail so they can't sell it. i'm sure having to wait (lets say) a week to sell smth, when you desperately need the money, will teach them a lesson about spamming.

exactly
creating new char wont help bcuz stuff they want to sell is still on jailed char
The real problem is that an huge part of the spammers are random characters which, maybe, don't even have the stuff they're selling there. From the few trades I've done, that happened really often. I PM'd the spamming dwarf, and then he told me that he had the item in another char, therefore, chat banning him would be stupid.
What I'd suggest is to ban the spamming characters for a 2 weeks period, if he actually has the items there, well, he'll have to wait for 2 weeks to be able to get his stuff again. The issue comes when he doesn't, maybe tracing his IP and banning main characters? However, the problem is, again, the trade bot, I've played many servers where there was that "offline shop" stuff, and you barely saw trade announcements via shout. Since the trade bot is cool I think the best option is to remove the auto-message feature like I've proposed before (https://forumen.rpg-club.net/index.php?topic=5992.0). With this most people will be happy since they'll still have their bots, and other people will be happy since now they'll can chat in aden.
People would set up the bots to spam messages like "WTS Chicken Wings, pm xyz" (to the active char that has the item).
Then, if the GM would ban both, a Banning war would start.
I dont get why do bots get to shout, if thers no one there to bargain / Haggle with. Thats why i like seeing people using [ ! ] to trade.
Just ban chat their main. You wanna harm his non sense lvl 10 spammer or his lvl 80 main? 4 days ban chat and bam, no more fuking spammers. Another good solution is to jail the guy like others said, then his items got stuck in jail as well. It surely won't stop everyone, but it will stop those who are selling shots or mats and spam once at 20 seconds.
