I would like to ask for a little bit more explanation.
1st. How exactly should write the dynamic IP with this " * " ,because from the examples i don`t understand anything and i bet that there are a lot of ppl like me that understand nearly 0 from IPs,PCs and such craps.
2nd. For example i`m playing from 2 PCs (different places of living) , so is there any way to set up 2 IPs ?
For GMs :
Btw, this thing is a bit useless since you can delete it with only pass of account
You can set the protection for site also so it won't be useless, as you say.
If u set protection for site xx ip and then somehow you lose that ip means u won`t be able to log on site anymore?

Yes. But u can reset the ip filter through the email u registered the account with. If u forgot ur email, it's ur problem.
How can u reset the ip filter if you can`t log on the site acc?

...
When u try to log it will tell u the ip is wrong and give u the option to reset it. If u choose it, u should receive an email with info on how to reset it.

still doesn`t help for such things, like ppl playing from Net-cofe,from work and home , has 2 appertments and so on.
Because this way you tell me/other ppl you play from one place or if smth happens gtfo.
Let`s say if i choose only acc protection and each time i moove from 1 house to the other i just log in site and change the IP, ok but in this situation everyone that somehow hacked or w/e my pass can do it too , since the pass for site and in-game is all the same.
Don`t know what exactly is the descision but you should think about something imo.
QuoteExample 1:
217.77.221.7,71.200.0.5
Example 2:
71.*,75.240.*,73.220.0.*
no?
now i see there are comas , and i only GUESS that this give me an option for typing 2 or more IPs, and still don`t get the thing with the " * ". I know you don`t like to explain things, but also understand that when ppl start play L2 it`s not a must to have PC programing education or w/e it`s called.
Just give some guide like you make it for retards and all will be fine i guess.

Adding more ip's is possible by separating them with " , " symbol. The " * " means in pc terms that any correct number can replace that. So, if u have a dynamic ip, only the last number (or the last 2 will change) when u restart computer. That's called an "ip class". An ip looks like this: x.y.w.z (all of which can take values from 0 to 255, with some exceptions)
Example:
100.101.102.103 , 100.101.102.* , 100.101.*.*
A setup like this will add the following ip's to the allowed list:
A fixed ip: 100.101.102.103
A class of ip's: 100.101.102.1 , 100.101.102.2 , 100.101.102.3 , .................... , 100.101.102.255
A class of ip's: 100.101.1.1 , 100.101.1.2 , ... , 100.101.2.1 , 100.101.2.2 , ..................... , 100.101.255.255 (last one)
I hope it is clear enough for everyone to understand.
A lot easier to understand , 10x a lot MV
