Title: Large cities(Aden/Giran) disconnects
Post by: Jos on May 12, 2010, 01:31:29 AM
Hi, I have an interesting issue:/
Everytime I go to Aden or Giran, my character becomes stuck in some kind of a lag...I can see other players writing to i.e. trade chat and so on and I can see them sitting on the square. But I can't move my character, and I can't even open a map or write to someone, and after few moments it disconnects me:( There's nothing up with my pc and/or connection, everything works fine. Doesn't anyone know what can it be caused by?Thanks for you replies.

Your internet connection with the server's ISP is not a very good one. Either use a proxy, battleping or talk with your network administrator.

This might be the solution for you, hope it works

The problem is that giran mostly has higher population and  there is somekinda bug with your network
Anyways long story short:
Open your Network connections, double click on your connection
Click on properties-> General tab and then click on configure
Under the advanced tab there should be an Option named  Checksum offloading and to fix it you have to set it to disable.

If you dont have that option there then you can alternativley disable it over registry:
Open the Registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters.

Add a new DWORD value named DisableTaskOffload and set it to 1.

Rstart your computer.

If this doesnt work thenyou prolly have to make your MTU value higher (MTU=maximal transfer unit)
Google->MTU maximal transfer network
You ll figure out how to set it on a higher Value.

Guys guessing bad connection weren't right, as I said there's no problem with it. It was the checksum offloading. Thank you for solving this is2s:) Can be closed now.
