Well topic says it all.
I have Vegas 9.0 and I see decently sized amazing quality videos everywhere and I can never get mine to be the same.
I've seen all the blah tutorials but they are clearly out of date. If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it.
use this codec http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/

then make your video
render as

Thanks for the help. Although my vegas is so annoying and says "This codec can not handle these render settings" or something.
But I finally have a decent looking fraps at a decent size anyway.
