Now there will be thousand of volunteers i guess.
Imo don't give this function to a random person, make some application form so everyone applying has to fill it.

Something like this one below at least. I believe you can find more suitable questions to put there, as this few example questions aren't enough i'd say.

  • experience with moding forums
  • time you can put into this
  • age (as i believe there are kids postin here aswell :p)
  • what makes you best candidate for that position
+1 definitely there should be some apply to write or something.

It is, though if you get banned you might disappear from forums aswell.

@UP:

I kinda like the server, so even if i got banned i guess i'd start a new char prolly, or use one of inactive clanmembers chars.

Another thing is i gave up stuff i got frozen for.

True that, except the little fact you trust me and the other way round cuz we were killing each other for quite a long time :P.
And yes, someone has to be a mod, just dont make it a random person who will screw everything up just because he gets emo over lost stuff/banned account/lost pvp ingame/whatever.

Well then, let's elect a moderator, so that he can move this entire topic, written entirely in English, to a different section of the forums.

Moderator's powers can be easily abused. They have the magical word "Moderator" by their nick.
It should be trusted person, whom takes the job. You can't just take random person with 2 posts as Moderator.

chivas i am moderator on polish l2 server forums, don`t tell me what moder job is plox. Remember that editing posts, deleting topics, banning retards itp. is not the only job, ppl ask you in pms because you are a moderator and should help, you have a contact with GM`s through hidden section on forum (usually) and can pass ppl`s issues/bugs straight to gm/admin/programmer, that often don`t have time to browse forums.
