Title: More English, less russian
Post by: kirin on January 03, 2013, 02:28:00 AM
GM please, this is a international server, there are a lot of international people at this server and we see many and many things in russian language. This complicate the game for us.
Some announcements are posted only in russian at this server.
I think server's administrator need to give more value to english language in the server.
Please, Pay attention to it.
Thanks.

Maybe it is not impossible, I am Brazilian and I learned to speak english, it is possible to russians learn basic words in game.
Yes, you are sure, they think russian are an international language, and they do not want to speak english, they want international people speaking in russian, but, nobody care... I don't care :)
If players do not want to speak english, there isn't more to do, but GMs must to speak it and post annoucements in english, They boast that this is the best h5 server in the world.
But it is impossible to play this game without communication :)

The important announcements are always in English. ALWAYS.

The stuff you see in Russian language (as of recent), are poems written by Russian players, on Russian forums, about RPG-Club. It's a Xmas and New Year's event. GM's can't translate that into English.

Hi!

In fact it's a called "international" server so english language using has priority I think, I don't disturb the russian language, because it's a russian server. Anyway I'd propose if somewhere appear any text (in game, tradebot, trade) at least don't mix the 2 languages, there is not any more disturbing.

For example when I started trade-bot first and set english language, more text, buttons stayed russian. I found this terrible and incomprehensible. Don't mix please, translate or don't offer english option. ;-)

One thing i dont understand, when a Russian see that u speak on english, they thought that we are all Americans, they are like "amerikos suka, gavno, davai po russki",cmon wtf,i know what does that mean but ENGLISH is world language u damn Russians.I asked some of them dont u learn english in school, some of them answerd me "yes we learn, but we dont need to know or we dont need it".I hope one day that they will leave Russia and visit some other Countries, ull see that almost all speak English and people who speak English arent all Americans.
The fact is,lot of Russian doesnt like America(Americans),so they dont like their language. xD

If Russians cannot or do not wish to learn english then we can't force them to do so.
But in any case , the problem can be solved by making the announcement twice, first in russian and then in english.
