Question:
Which SSD is best to handle both W7 + L2 at the same time.
Option 1: OCZ Vertex 4 64GB SATA3
votes: 19
Option 2: Intel 330 Series 60GB SATA3
votes: 12
Option 3: Crucial M4 64GB SATA3
votes: 12
Having endless discussion with a friend about which is the best one out there. Basically the SSD itself will be only to handle OS and L2. IMHO the M4 is best option but oh well, since L2 players take up half of SSD industry maybe someone knows better:D
Any of constructive opinions are appreciated yo.

why 120 gb imo? 60 gb is enough for l2/OS and some programs :)
so get 64gb version if you care about price

i dont read into the specs and speeds of this shit but afaik ssds have decent failure rates and when i was shopping around for one the majority of stuff i read about it said that samsung ssds are pretty reliable
i buy a crucial m4 128gb 2 days ago, i hope tomorrow. but if u really want a ssd buy the 128gb m4 not the 64gb is just 30€ more
I dont want an ssd since i already have one and im more than fine with it (v3,120gb), simply was talking with a guy who wants to buy one before server launch. Anyway thx.

Make sure your friend have SATA 3.0 and crucial m4 64gb have 90MB/s write and 128GB version 175MB/s. That's his weak point, but you shouldn't use so much of write (installing apps, copying something). For example some OCZ SSD's have 500MB write and read but they are more unstable(blue screens freezes and stuff) than crucial.
Samsung or Intel
Vertex 4 with new firmware >>>>> all
OCZ is the biggest shit ever, maybe they have good read/write speed but the failure rate is like 50-70% in most of german online shops. I had 2 OCZ 1,5 years ago - first one died after 5 weeks, took OCZ 2 months to replace it, 2nd died after 9 months and again 2 months for an replacement.
NEVER AGAIN!
I have ocz for 2nd year already. NP so far:) I guess its bout luck eh.
ive only ever used ocz and only for a couple months at that. so far i am very please and will most def purchase more in the near future.
me and pepsi bought 4 OCZ drives like 2 years ago and from the 4 only 1 wasn't faulty :D

I must disagree with you. Crucial have less write/read but Crucial doesn't fuck up as often as OCZ's. (OCZ agility 3 60gb owner) :)
I got a Corsair F60 since 2 years (yes he is way outdated/performed now) and no problem with it !
Running time: 14291 hours :D
well tomorrow i go test the crucial m4 128gb

what do you think ?
Μέγιστη ταχύτητα ανάγνωσης: Μέχρι 525MB/s (read)
Μέγιστη ταχύτητα εγγραφής: Μέχρι 475MB/s (write)
SATA 3/2

The SSD that's being sold in Gludio is pretty good quality, it's crafted by the finest dwarves. The ones in Giran are bugged.

The bottom line is, it doesn't really matter what SSD you get. Just get the goddamn SSD.
