So, I finally decided to let my curiosity get the better of me, and purchase a Birthday Cake. I summoned it at GoB outside of Goddard, and the after a few seconds, it gave me a 20 min buff. Then, my friends showed up, and they all got the buff as well, except my clan leader. He tried relogging and just about everything he could do, but without any luck.
My 20 minute buff ran out, and I didn't get a new vitality buff either. :-\

How exactly is it supposed to function? Are there rules or tricks for getting it to work properly?
Hello,
cake is not broken but it gives vitality buff every 15 mins in the same time to everyone. It means if your clan leader came late he can get vitality buff after 15 mins again. Buff is for 20 mins but cake rebuffs after 15 mins so make sure u always come for it.
Oh, okay, so I should watch the time left on my buff,and run over there as soon as it says 5 minutes remaining.
Funny thing though, is that his two buffers who were on autofollow both got the buff. He didn't.

Better go close when it shows 6 mins left so you don't miss it. I don't know maybe he was too far.
He has them on autofollow, so he was the first to reach the cake. =P

But did he update client ? Does he see cake ? Are you going to try again today ? :)
