I want to know if changing my main subclass, my old main is subclass. I hope the answer

hmmm the only topic i found about this matter so i'd like to ask a different question here... my friend changed his sub to main and ever since he looses all his fame when he switches between them, is a general problem or happens only in some specific situations? (asking cause i want to change as-well and i have 50k fame right now:S)
