Well by what you said, maybe the CPU driver is out of date,  ;D you need to update it, but check your hardware carefully first, maybe the processor socket is not installed as it should be

suggesting you have an AMD CPU, try to find a dual core optimizer. And yes there are drivers for CPUs, but it usually  installes the OS by itself

No theres no such thing, theres extra programs and features u can enable by installing software but its not drivers dude.
Get your facts straight.

QuoteThe central processing unit (CPU) of a computer typically does not have drivers in a traditional sense, at least not in the same way other devices do. CPU drivers are really programs or software that can allow a user to modify or alter the behavior of a computer's CPU in a number of different ways. The CPU of a computer is recognized by the motherboard from the moment the computer is first turned on, so the basic input/output system (BIOS) on the motherboard is able to handle certain basic aspects regarding the CPU. More complicated controls over the CPU on a computer, such as overclocking and underclocking, can be achieved either through altering the BIOS or by downloading CPU drivers that tend to make the process easier.

Dont take shit out of context. What they call "CPU drivers" in this text is simply a overclocking program. Otherwise id like you to link me to some CPU drivers for normal CPUs such as Intel or AMD.

its not even a comeback seeing how you typed 2 replies that completely contradict with one another. if you still don't understand what i mean i suggest you to step away from your computer and take a breather

ull never achieve the same overclock level as u would on the BIOS. go ahead and try as much as u like but its 100% proven fact u OC higher with less voltage through BIOS settings.

there is shit applications cant access and hardware is one them. windows does the "bridge" between application and hardware and it limits what application can access in order to maintain hardware safe.

bottom line is, OC in the bios. if u have no idea how to OC in the bios, dont OC at all because ur probably clueless and ur gonna fry ur components.
