Post by: Pimkie on September 07, 2009, 02:33:07 AM

It's annoying to see ru in global chat...

I agree +1

Also on the rules, rule 1.6 there's grammatical mistake. "Players may not: Log in simultaneously (dual/multi-boxing) under more than 3 accounts."

under more than 3 accounts? If 3 accounts is the max then just write, more than 3 accounts.

Only on shout dude. It's annoying to see 2 guys speaking in shout in whatever language they have. They can do that in private chat. Also, no one cares how people speak on party chat, clan chat, ally chat etc. But in shout there should be only 1 language, and everyone knows english, or at least understands it. It's about respect towards the other players  :-X

well that's for admins to decide, anyway.

so far people shouting "ENGLISH FFS YOU FCKERS" dont show a lot of respect to others either, you know.

IMO, all the admins and other english speaking people can do is ask politely, this server is of course russian, but it doesnt say 30x (EN) for nothing, eh?

Most of ppl don't like speaking English, but is only world wide known Language. So better stick to it in shout other wise should be some chat bans. But worst thing is i think some of ppl that do speak in RU don't know English still for sure server have (ENG) x30 so it should be only shout language. I mean what use is trade shouts at all if 50% of ppl don't understand wtf someone wanna do buy or sell, etc...

Why do u think so bad about us? :( btw, trade shouts could be write with linking item (shift+click) or with english names of items, wich every player know :) So i dont think it's a problem.

Some russian ppl dont know that it means at all, but use it in meaning "hi" or "kuku", but realy its an old mem of russian cinema "Kin-dza-dza" =)
but its some kind of flame, imo bans and over punishments for ru in shouts not a way.

Hmm so some people are too lazy (or too stupid)Oo
If some people want to speak an other language than english in trade/shout/hero chat they use pm /end

I hope when I will looking for a clan(International clan) I will not see ru spam in clan chat too...
It's all about mentality. You don't play on an international server if you don't know to say one word in english.

I think that nobody really said its international server. I just want to say you can also look at it from the side that we are still guest on Russian server and Russian people are so pleasant that they enable to us to play there and even translated the game for us and also provide support in eng.
You should also consider that admins let game language optionable, it also means its not pure eng/international/whatever server.
So it really depends on them and we should be a little bit modest and not just swings our arms and say FU its international server go away you motorfuker!

Nevertheless I am for eng only in Hero/Trade. (I dont see reason why ALL chat should be eng only, if somebody cant talk eng its his problem , if somebody want to abuse me in language which i dont understand I dont care, if i want to talk in czech to my friends I can, and it would also brings many problem...i already see this crybabies who post ton of screenshots how someone(enemy) talk in other language)

I strongly disagree. Keep it as it is, multilanguage.

Anyway, you still can catch up some words from another language and at least learn something by playing this game.

ps: did anyone got some nice table of transformation between russian letters and english one?

At all I do not see a problem in that who in what language speaks in the general chat. I think it is necessary to leave to people freedom to choose on what language to talk, therefore as not all know English, and to communicate as that it is necessary for them. It is necessary to try to search for the general rather the reverse.

If will leave the general chat only in English I give a guarantee that Russian leave a problem having started to write on translit and then believe any of you who though understands in Russian will not understand about what we we speak a little, while all of us almost can understand that about what you speak.

For me personally russians using Cyrillic alphabet like a fuckin code to call up each other(when one get killed) or tell smth just to russian ppl. Personally i don't care which language you use but use latin letters which everyone can read or ENABLE all foreign languages (i know some korean and chinesse playing here); enabling only RUSSIAN native letters on ENGLISH x30 SERVER its like +1 for russian nationalism for me; disable all or enable others because russians using their advertage in cyrlic alphabet.
